What's Next at the Studios?

Next year, DAK will have Dinosaur, Kilamanjaro and EE. The Studios will still only have ToT and RNRC. It's definitely time for another E-ticket attraction at the Studios. Whether it's Indy or something else, I don't really care. After watching Cinderellabration, what I do care about is the lack of good live shows happening at the Studios, the one place where I would expect more shows than rides. I love stunt shows, but something with live performers really needs to go into that dusty ABC-TV Theater, even if it's an import of the Snow White show from DL. Also, I wouldn't mind if they rebuilt Residental Street themed as Wisteria Lane.

I always thought they were gonna put something Atlantis where 20,000 Leagues used to be. I don't know why, I just thought it made sense.
As for another show, how about that Aladdin one they have in Cali?
They showed a couple clips on the Aladdin DVD and it looked pretty good.

I think MGM should focus more on their shows, I thought of a grand musical for the Studios a while back which incorporates music and songs from famous movies and would be set at the central plaza in front of the chinese theater

It seems to me that the Studios desperately needs another ride that children can go on. All they have for family rides are the Great Movie Ride and the Backlot Tour (and maybe Star Tours if they are up for it). So, yeah, a dark ride of any kind.

I think the park has enough shows, so whatever they do in the future, hopefully it is a ride. Lately, Disney just hasn't wanted to make a lot of new rides...I mean, full ride-through-type rides. They've come out with theater style attractions (Stitch, LMAX, Philharmagic), simulators (Mission:Space, Soarin')...I mean, I know Disney has claimed to be short on cash lately, but come on, they are running theme parks! How about some rides??

You mean rides like Expedition Everest in AK or Astro Blasters in DLR?

Confining it to to WDW, EE has been in the works for quite some time now, and does not come out until next year. I don't mean that every ride has to be a huge E-Ticket like E:E, but also not something cheap and cheesy like Dino-Rama. Now, if they had saved that money they spent on these goofy little additions and rehabs like Stitch and Dino-Rama, maybe they could afford to put in a decent family ride(s). I realize the urgent needs they have to make quick additions to give everyone something new to see and do (like Dino Rama), but if all you are coming out with is mediocre attractions, and advertising them to the public like they are the best things to happen in a long time, the guests are even more disappointed when they see them.

I'm just hoping that by the time E:E opens, all the additions/clones they've been coming out with for the Happiest Celebration on Earth (LMA, Soarin') and such recent good additions as M:S and Philharmagic will be drawing in the larger crowds they've needed. And in turn, hopefully they'll be able to put a little more money into quality attractions (rides, specifically).

Its just that, when you think about it, the last fully-new ride through attraction that Disney opened was probably The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (please correct me if I'm wrong). That was quite some time ago.

Personally, I'd like to see a Star Tour re-do to include the new Trilogy and something done with the Indiana Jones theme, like the thrill ride over at Disneyland Paris.

I agree that MGM is the weakest link of the parks. They need something new and exciting. When I say new and exciting, I don't mean a decade old clone. MGM needs something as unique as ToT when ToT was introduced.
