yikes. thats a tough one.

I would say DAK especially the safari, expedition everest, the lion king show, and the animal exhibits.

Test Track, Soarin', Animal Kigdom Lodge-especially Boma, and the new POTC

If I had to hazard a guess, I would say half of Walt Disney World has changed since 1995--pretty much all of Epcot has changed (certainly Future World, and they have been slowly getting to World Showcase), all of the nighttime shows have changed (except SpectroMagic), AK is new, West Side is new, there are several new Resorts, MGM got Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Lights, Motors, Action, new drop sequences on the ToT, a new (shortened these days) Backlot Tour; MK has received a cheap Aladdin ride, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Stitch's Great Escape, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, the Laugh Floor, 20K Leagues Under the Sea was bulldozed, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh replaced Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Pirates of the Caribbean received a retheming, as did the Tiki Room. As I suggested, Epcot has seen a new Universe of Energy, Mission: SPACE, Test Track, and new Imagination pavilion, a new Land pavilion with Soarin', a new Seas pavilion, Spaceship Earth will be redone later this year, Innoventions will have completely changed, Mexico has a new ride, several new shows have come around World Showcase. MK, AK, and MGM have new daytime parades. Two miniature golf courses opened. River Country closed. Discovery Island closed and then reopened as a land at Animal Kingdom.

Adequate?

WOW Navigator!!! LOL... you went all out with the bells and whistles. 2 Thumbs WAY up!!!

I do have to say though that maybe my trip was in 1998 after looking at the list that Philio posted.... because we went to Animal Kingdom, but not positive if it had just opened that year or not... I do remember seeing Test Track being built or a coming soon sign as well as building or coming soon sign for PhilharMagic if that narrows things down or not.

That doesn't make sense. There was never a time when both Test Track and PhilharMagic were under construction. Test Track opened in 1999 and PhilharMagic in 2003. If you went to AK, you visited some time after April 22, 1998.

Well for some reason my parents have always picked June, even now... I also said that they either were under construction or signs posted Coming Soon, so is it possible that Test Track was under construction and the PhilharMagic was only labeled as Coming Soon or some type of sign like Future Home of or something?

I recall for a fact that Test Track was being worked on... but also know I saw a sign or something with the Mickey and wizard hat or something of that nature.

"Magic Carpet 'Round the World" was a Circle Vision 360 film shown at the Tomorrowland Circle Vision Theatre in the Magic Kingdom from March of 1974 until March of the following year, and again from September 1979 until September 14, 1984, when it was replaced in 1994 by "American Journeys." More than 37 hours of film shot in over 20 nations around the world were edited into a panoramic, 21-minute virtual journey.

I would say Soarin is one of the best additions to WDW. The good part is the majority of guests can enjoy this ride, without fear of possibly dieing. :ROFLOL: I also think Buzz Lightyear is pretty darn good as well. If your into hotels definitely check out AKL its something you don't see everyday. Very well themed.

Oh you have a photo of the stilt birds!! I loved those so much, it was such a shame when they went away.

Their gone now? Oh my goodness... what else can I expect to not see? I recall @ AK some Africans banging on cans or something... are they still there?

Since 1995, EPCOT Center, specifically Future World, has transformed into Epcot. I won't start a "it was better back then" tirade, but let's just say it has changed, for better or worse, depending on who you ask.

RIP-Horizons, WOM, JII(and a non-Godzilla size figment), Land V 1.0, Living Seas,Communicore, Odyssey

I almost stayed at the AKL, but I wanted the romo with the safari view and it was quite pricey so I opted for CR and then changed my mind again when I thought about themes and how bland CR is, so I opted for staying at WL again... since I remember what a wonderful time I had there 9 yrs ago.
