What's Missing - A Haunted Manision Store

That's the major letdown of coming out of Haunted Mansion... for all it's fans there is no store anywhere near it. In fact there is a pretty small amount of HM merchandise around compared to other franchises when I have been there. I wish there was, there are a lot of really cool things that could be done with stuff in HM, or just general merch.

I completely agree. They do have that cart, but it is insufficient considering the popularity of this classic attraction.
This is the case for many other rides too like BTMR, the Jungle Cruise, CoP and more.

Bring on more merch!

I agree with this completely, theres that little cart thing but there should be a bigger store for more haunted mansion merch.

They really could just use the existing gift shop that's on the corner near Columbia Harbor House.
Currently it only sells misc. junk anyway.

They could have the side of that gift shop that faces the Haunted Mansion area decorated in an HM theme, while the side that faces Columbia Harbor House could remain as it is so it matches the other area.

werent there rumors that during the referb a few years ago that they were going to add a store? I dont know if it was merely a rumor, or if it was pulled at the last minute.

Not just a rumor. It was part of the original plan but was cut.

Best version I heard was the reworking of the exit tunnel to dump into the Yankee Traders which would have become a Haunted Mansion shop and sold on-ride photos.

Aaah! A reminder of a more elegant age!

Back when Disney would let you keep the magical mood for a bit longer instead of immediately reaching for your wallet after exiting an attraction.

(But I would love more HM merchandise.)

Absolutely, those carts don't make this fantastic ride any justice.
I was also disappointed there were no SM shirts to be found when I went there. I really wanted to buy one or two, but I came back home empty-handed.

There's a lot of rides that don't have a store, or if they do it doesn't really contain any merchandise relevant to the attraction. Sometimes its about the character (for example pooh's corner) but I dont think they have anything specific about the ride itself.

Far as I can recall, these attractions do not have stores and really should:
Its a Small World
Big Thunder mountain
Dumbo (where you would put that I have no idea though)
Jungle Cruise
Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
Peter Pans Flight
Space Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Carousel of Progress

At EPCOT:
Spaceship Earth
Soarin'
Honey I shrunk the Audience
Ellen's Energy Adventure
Innoventions (debateable)

DHS Is one of the better parks for this BUT
Indiana Jones & Lights Motors are lacking.
Toy Story and Muppets are either far too small or carry very little merchandise of the attraction.

Sounds Dangerous doesnt need one lol.
But Great Movie, Ride, Backlot Tour and mermaid are all debatable.
Oh and One Man's Dream....

AS Far as Animal Kingdom, it's hit or miss
Most of the attractions there don't really need or deserve a merchandise center (with the exception of those who have some) BUT Lion King and ESPECIALLY Finding Nemo NEED a store. Nemo has a tiny cart and if you want to buy the soundtrack you have to go to The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot.
I don't recall bugs Life having one either.

I think a Shop at Haunted Mansion is a great idea. I think it could be an extension to the attraction. A well themed, well merchandised shop would be a great fit.
