I'm glad they went the other route. To me the concept art looks too Toontown-Esque in design..The gargoyles look like toon pumas and the everything in the room has a toony curve to it..

I have to agree it does look very 'Toontown-Esque' but for some reason that really appeals to me and I can't easily explain why, perhaps it's the 'escapism' of it not feeling real or it taking me back to my childhood? So whilst I agree with you on one point, I disagree on another. I'd love a room like that. However what a boring world it would be if everyone liked the exact same thing, so a difference of opinion can still be a nice thing.

I think expanding the concept in terms of theme and design for those without children would be a nice extra. Perhaps make the HM rooms a bit darker and sinister, or even villian themed rooms. Nothing macabre, but just enough to seperate it from being strictly for children. Maybe ToT, Star Wars, or Indian Jones? I'm just throwing ideas around. I'd stay in a traditionally "haunted" type HM room.

Separate it being strictly for children? Not in this administration buster!

I forgot about this. I'm not surprised at all that Royal Rooms were chosen and this was ditched, it's all about pushing the Princesses. I really think it's time they satisfy some other tastes though. I have to agree with some above comments though that these concepts weren't that great, a bit cartoony. They could potentially be so sweet if they could make this work somehow.

I had forgotten about these too. I can see why the princess ones won, more of a market I suppose. From what I have seen, through pictures, of the princess rooms they remind me of decorating by a Disney princess garage sale. Different pieces from various princesses left behind. It might look better in person though.
