Could you imagine the lines at an eatery like that??? Most people in the US think Dominos, Pizza Hut & Pappa Johns is real pizza...Imagine if they had a REAL slice of Seaside boardwalk pizza?

Most people from NY and NJ think that NY & NJ slices are real pizza... Imagine if they had a REAL pizza at any number of holes in the wall along Via Tribunali or the Via San Carlo. ;) (Lived in Napoli)

As okay as Yak & Yeti is, I wish that the Nepal-themed area in Animal Kingdom offered some Nepalese food. Seriously, Americans would go crazy for good momos. Set up a momo cart and watch the dollars roll in. And bowls of dal. :hungry:

You mean you don't appreciate mid-western pizza which needs to be covered in ranch dressing to be palatable?

No offense intended, BTW. I just like ribbing New Yorkers, even though the best US-style pizza I've ever had was in the East Village. I'd seriously visit NYC just for that pizza.

NY & NJ pizza are very similar. If you have to eat your slice with a fork & knife, forget it...lol (unless your the mayor of NYC). Speaking of which, my DD was in the DCP eariler this year and she told me about a place in Orlando near WDW that's owned by a transplanted NY'er...supposedly he has the NYC water trucked in. If I find out the name, I'll let you know

My brother landed a job in Ohio. He says the pizza in Ohio does not even deserve to be called pizza. Twice a year he drives really far to come see me in Brick NJ....but really he's comin' for the pizza:hungry: He brings a special mega sized cooler thingee....when it is time to return to Ohio he orders 6 to 8 pies here and brings them back to Ohio. Once at home he freezes most and refrigerates one to eat right away. Anyway, he makes it last as long as he can. ;)
No disrespect to any people of any ethnicity and how they run pizza joints, but the best pizza I’ve ever had was growing up in NJ going to places run by guys that were born in Italy.

Since we're from NJ, I'm biased, so here goes... since the Boardwalk resort is based on turn of the century Atlantic City, NJ, there should be a "Jersey" themed restaurant there...pork roll (Taylor Ham), egg and cheese on authentic NJ bagels, NJ pizza, Italian hot dog & sausage sandwiches on pizza bread with fried peppers & onions, and as others have said, a REAL Jewish deli...corned beef & pastrami on NJ rye and the phenomenal barrel style dill pickles, Sabrett "dirty water" hot dogs with sauerkraut and BBQ onions, boardwalk style cheese steaks with good old Cheez-whiz and don't forget salt water taffy and REAL Italian Ices in the white paper cups...hungry yet?

I am thankful I live in New Jersey because I am now going to get Pork Roll, Egg & cheese sandwich for breakfast tomorrow due to this comment. Thank you.

Can we not turn this thread into another discussion on how the pizza in WDW is terrible? I feel like this conversation gets discussed
ad nauseam with the same points and disagreements on what part of the country or who makes the best pie etc etc. The outcome and points are always the same.
- Florida's water is not and never will be the same as NY or NJ's so it would be difficult to make a NY or NJ style pizza without the Mouse shipping the water down to Orlando.
- If you prefer thin, thick, crispy, chewy, hand tossed, Chicago style made by Italian Cherubs trained by the man who created the first Margarita Pizza, whatever! Thats great there is room for everyones likes however comma there is not room in WDW to make a pizza restaurant on every corner to make everyone happy.
- Are there places you can get a good slice in the WDW? Yes I'm sure there are but I am not listing them for fear of starting the above mentioned war of whats best.
- Yes the CS pizza found at Pizza Rizzo, Pizzafari and the like is horrible! Is there a way to change it? Yes! Stop eating it and maybe the Mouse will get a clue that no one cares for it but until that day happens we are stuck with it so I suggest you order something else or dine elsewhere.

Wow, bad morning??? EVERY thread on this site discusses things ad nauseam whether it's the conditions of the parks, resorts, bus service, etc. I know New Jersey always gets a bad rap in the rest of the country, but GEEZ...a couple of Jersey fans discussing all foods Garden State (which are GREAT by the way), and you're getting your feathers ruffled?

Now that I know you don't like repeated posts on any one subject, I'll be sure to follow YOU, so the next time you get into a fun discussion of something ridiculous, I'll be sure to bring this conversation up with you. Yeah, I know the water is better in the NJ/NY tri-state area...that's your loss, not ours.

By all means please do! Feel free to follow ME, I'm sure I need to be checked every once in a while.
BTW I by no means am giving New Jersey flack I am just stating that the subject of crap pizza and how its made better in the northeast is brought up every time a pizza conversation is started on here. Guess what - Mexican food is better in Mexico and border states, seafood tastes better on the coast and home cooking made by mom is always better than what you are going to find at comfort food restaurants. Travel is about change of scenery and having new experiences, so to go on vacation wanting everything to be the same as it is at home is pointless! Why leave? The Mouse has to cater to all tastes and walks of life so generalizing and in some cases being mediocre is what has to be done to make a larger populus happy.

At Saratoga, where the DVC preview center is? Before it became the DVC preview center, I thought it would be neat to have a dinner show there like Hoop De Doo, but centered around horses and their handlers. Either that or an Adventurer's Club type of cabaret set at a country club having a talent show where snobs take themselves seriously and caddies don't.

I agree. Disney needs more dinner shows. A lot they could do with this. Going with your country club theme, there's always the Bushwood Country Club. I think I'd live there every trip if they ever did that.

Some really interesting ideas thrown around! Kouzzina (Greek) was one of my favorite restaurants before they closed it and would love to see a Greek restaurant come back.

I'd just really love to see them do something more with the American Pavilion. We have so much amazing regional cuisine that I think would be cool to feature there! Maybe something like a Quincy Market with a bunch of small QS stands in a "food market" each representing a different regional cuisine?

I disagree with this (I agree with the sentiment of the post however). Water filtration has become quite cheap. It is also pretty cheap to get the correct additives needed to match water profiles.

I used to do it with home brewing all of the time. Many beers are dependent on a specific water profile. You can adjust various components in the water to match that profile. WDW (or Flordia) for that matter could have good pizza dough and good bagels if they wanted. I think they just don't see a market in doing so.

In your plea to not discuss pizza, I think you devoted more words to discussing pizza than were previously typed into this thread. FWIW.

As for other ideas:

Japan: Shabu shabu at a table service, please. And okonomiyaki and mitarashi dango at one of the counters.

Magic Kingdom in general: Please bring to us Disneyland's mint julep and a Monte Cristo. (The fake Monte Cristo that Toy Story Land offered for about 8 days before pulling didn't count)
