I love Timon & Pumbaa, but I have to say the preachy nature of the film is a big turn off. So, I would hope that pretty much anything that they wanted to put there would be better than what is there now.
Symbiosis?
I'm the biggest EPCOT Center '82-'92 fanboy on the planet ... and even I can't defend Symbiosis. :ROFLOL:
I don't remeber it, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
WALL-E? You guys are forgetting something: every attraction has to be connected with the pavillion. Soarin' has no connection with The Land, it just sits there. How are you going to explain the WALL-E thing? Just make it sit there, or make it have a connection with the pavillion like all the others have.
WALL-E takes place at a time when man has ruined the planet. It would be very easy to use it as an example of what could happen if we do not take care of the planet we have been entrusted with. :wave:
I still can't see the connection with The Land. The Land is a living greenhouse. You can't just pop an attraction right there- well, you can, I've yet to met one that can connect Soarin' to The Land.
Soarin' = airport.
Wall-E movie = Buy N Large promotion
Why would they put an airport in the middle of a research facility? And why Buy N Large would promote themselves too, when they helped to destroy Earth's nature?
In WALL-E, man learned what he should've done to keep the planet alive and to take care of the planet. If you watch the credits at the end, man discovered or reconnected with the land and learned to live with it. The theme of the film fits in very well with the objective of The Land.
What do you mean that it doesn't connect?Fits the theme, but not connects with it.
For the love of god do not put Walle in The Land! Would it kill them to come up with something original?
What would I like to see replace Circle of Life?
Just about anything! I'm so sick of the "Man is the Villian of Nature" crapola I could puke. 15 minutes of a dark screen is preferable to the PC BS they now show.
Nope, but you have to admit that it would fit and connect. :wave:
I'm more for a Disney Earth style film myself.
Well, as dated as it is, I would also like to see a Disney-earth style film. It would be epic.
But the theme of conservation vs destruction is an important one, and man is one of the biggest culprits.
Perhaps a film on global warming would be in order.
