What would you like to see replace Circle of Life?

I love Timon & Pumbaa, but I have to say the preachy nature of the film is a big turn off. So, I would hope that pretty much anything that they wanted to put there would be better than what is there now.

What's not to like about current film?

Message: America the great polluter is killing our planet. Have a magical day kids!

<Sarcasm off>

Two sheets of plywood to board up that already wasted space sounds good to me!

I don't remeber it, is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Picture a typical nature show you'd see on the national geographic or Discover channels. Okay, now pretend it's the most boring nature show you've ever seen on one of those channels. It was very dry and boring. It made the original video at the Universe of Energy seem like Star Wars in comparison.

Here's an idea, give it an update with WALL-E.

The pre-show waiting room could be themed to the Axiom or whatever it is called. Floor to ceiling the entire area would be redone with more seating, new materials, fresh colors, improved lighting, and of course updated flat panel HD TVs. The content show could be a playful video of WALL-E going through trash and finding certain objects that would then display facts similar to the current show. So WALL-E's exploration could serve as entertainment and the facts as education.

The actual show would be presented by Buy N Large basically go through the history of man-kind and his use of the land. Very similar to how the history is told now. Then with the help of movie tie ins it will progress to what happened on earth that resulted in everyone leaving...the threat that we saw in the movie. Then with the help of Buy N' Large and the other humans from the film, we see how things can change and how we can clean up and start over.

The post show hallway can contain wall graphics of the graphics shown in the credits that show earth renewal process.

While not entirely better than what already exists, it would give it a fresh update for a new generation. The movie tie in works perfectly with the message being delivered and the soundtrack can even be utilized. Overall, it would still serve the purpose and ideals of The Land Pavilion.

WALL-E? You guys are forgetting something: every attraction has to be connected with the pavillion. Soarin' has no connection with The Land, it just sits there. How are you going to explain the WALL-E thing? Just make it sit there, or make it have a connection with the pavillion like all the others have.

Just about anything! I'm so sick of the "Man is the Villian of Nature" crapola I could puke. 15 minutes of a dark screen is preferable to the PC BS they now show.

WALL-E takes place at a time when man has ruined the planet. It would be very easy to use it as an example of what could happen if we do not take care of the planet we have been entrusted with. :wave:

I still can't see the connection with The Land. The Land is a living greenhouse. You can't just pop an attraction right there- well, you can, I've yet to met one that can connect Soarin' to The Land.

Soarin' = airport.
Wall-E movie = Buy N Large promotion

Why would they put an airport in the middle of a research facility? And why Buy N Large would promote themselves too, when they helped to destroy Earth's nature?

In WALL-E, man learned what he should've done to keep the planet alive and to take care of the planet. If you watch the credits at the end, man discovered or reconnected with the land and learned to live with it. The theme of the film fits in very well with the objective of The Land.

Fits the theme, but not connects with it.

What do you mean that it doesn't connect?

The whole purpose of The Land is to show and demonstrate human interaction with the land. The film showed what would happen if we interacted badly with the planet and, later, what we could accomplish when we chose to protect and take care of the planet.

Well, as dated as it is, I would also like to see a Disney-earth style film. It would be epic.

But the theme of conservation vs destruction is an important one, and man is one of the biggest culprits.

Perhaps a film on global warming would be in order.

Nope, but you have to admit that it would fit and connect. :wave:

I'm more for a Disney Earth style film myself. :D

Agreed it fits but I still would like to see something original.

Well since it came out last week that Nasa and all the data in AL Gores global warming film was fradulent, there is no concrete evidance that global warming exists. By the way last year was the coldest year on record since they started tracking this stuff.
