What would you do in 1 day?

I'm in Orlando during the 2nd weekend of June visiting my friend. I've been to Disney over 20 times so I know the parks well but we're planning on going to the Disney Parks for 1 day.

So my question is.. if you had 1 day in Disney.. what is an absolute must for you??

She's only been twice so I want to show her a really fun Disney day.
(our only planned event is Le Cellier at 4:30)

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions! :)

Personally I love the MK, it's my favourite park, but if you're after thrill rides it's probably not for you!

I would then suggest Epcot, but then with TT closed, the main attractions are going to be busy.

Well we've got park hoppers and I'm a bit of a nut.. when I was in the parks last year with my dad's family I was there for a week.. my mom came to visit for one day and we hopped through 3 parks

So my day with my friend looks like this

  • buffet breakfast at the Beach Club
  • Hollywood Studios
  • Epcot/dinner
  • End with Magic Kingdom (of course)

My question is what would you NOT miss?
I'd love to go to Animal Kingdom but it's just not realistic. It's too far whereas Epcot/Hollywood Studios is much easier since they're so close

Frankly i would not change a thing. I like AK and all, but with 1 day, sorry AK has to go. What time is your breakfast at Beach Club? I only ask, because it would seem you'll get to Studios after opening, thus decreasing your chances of riding Toy Story before leaving for Epcot. Unless you get a decent fastpass return time, or, plan on spending over an hour in line, you may have to do w/out TSMM.

If I had to do 1 day, I would take an early ADR (prior to park opening) at Crystal Palace for breakfast, and then head back down Main Street for the rope drop, ride Haunted Mansion and Pirates, meet Mickey and Minnie and photo in front of The Castle. I would then hop on the monorail and head to Epcot where I would ride Soarin (or most likely grab a fast pass for it) and then then take the boat to DHS. I would ride Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster and then head back via the boat to Epcot. I would then have lunch at Le Chefs de France to see Remi. I would do a quick tour of all the countries and ride Maelstrom. Then hop back on the monorail and head to MK and just spend the rest of the night at MK, and of course, watch Wishes. That would be by 1 day plan. :sohappy:

We have 1 day at WDW pre-cruise in a little over a week. How will we spend it? Going to Typhoon Lagoon. I don't want to go to any of the 4 parks enough to pay for just 1 day. No thanks.

I was thinking the exact same thing.. I've been on the ride several times before so if it has to go then I'm okay with it.. I'd rather go on the thrill rides.. but I know she's never been on it before.
Time wise we're going to probably be in HS around 9:30 and we've got until about 2 before we go cram everything in at Epcot.
I want to say we'd go for the rope drop but I'm worried we're just going to end up moody/tired by mid afternoon.

Maybe we'll get out fast passes before breakfast. Either way, I don't want to miss the Mickey waffles. haha

That's an awesome plan. I definitely don't want to miss the Rockin' Roller Coaster.. it's too much fun. Her favorite park is Epcot so I think we're going to get some margaritas in Mexico before heading over to Canada for dinner. I'm tempted to say dessert in France but MK's desserts are calling..
