our ol' pal jay london started the wish list thread that gave me the idea for this thread. jay asked what we would do if eisner granted one wish.

besides being elvis and having wdw to myself for a day, my wish was to go back in time and spend a day with walt. i'd ask him all kinds of questions, as i'm sure anyone would.

but if there was just one question i'd ask walt, it might be "what would you create if you had unlimited resources? in other words, what is your biggest dream?"

given his imagination and creativity, i think the answer would be amazing.

what would you ask?

I think it would be REALLY tough to only ask him one question.

I would probably ask him how he had the vision to create DL and then to see the possibility of WDW and make it a reality, when really all there was, was swampland (not very inspiring).

I would then slip in a sly 2nd question. If he knew the way WDW was now, is there anything he would change, and if so what and how, and would money influence his decision, or would he just say "Thats what I want - make it happen!"

Oh Oh yes, I have to ask how he had the nerve to create Snow White in the face of all the criticism he received.

Right thats it. I know there's 3 here, but I could go on for ages.

Nice thread Dopey :D

This is somewhat similar to MarkMark's FIRST question. I would love to ask what his inspiration for it all was? How could he have imagined such a magical place?

As soon as he finished answering Ariel's question, I like to hear his unedited opinion of what he thinks about his "WORLD" today.
I'd be curious if he thought his 'dream' has become a reality or if his 'dream' is unrecognizable.:(

Since everybody has taken my original answer about his dream and all....I'm gonna be real general. I'd ask him what he thinks of Michael Eisner. That's all.

I'd ask him, how's it feel to have created such a large Disney empire of parks, movies, TV, merchandise, and everything else upon the world? I'd also ask him to take me up in the Cinderella's castle. :)

How would he exploit the technology that is available today, and which older technologies would he retire in favor of the new technologies?

My question relates back to his professtion that started it all: Animation.

Given the history of the animation department, how would you have handled its growth differently than Eisner did? And if you were back today, what changes would you like to see with the animation studios?

(I think that it can be agreed by most everyone that Disney struck gold with its Pixar deal, and those profits and quality of the films have helped carry on the Disney name proudly. Not many other blockbuster animation films have been released from Disney's in house dept.)

I would echo HorizonMan's question. I would like to know what his plan for Epcot would have been, since it was the last park he imagined but didn't have time to implement his full ideas.

id ask can you lend me a couple of bucks to get me through uni ;)

being sensible now  id asked him what do you think of the utter tripe disney pump out every year movie wise except pixar , and also some disney anime on the back of alladin, lion king such as lilo and stich and brother bear

this is mainly aimed at stuff like herbie (im being regergitated for the 100000000 time) and my personal fave haunted mansion (yes this is totally destroying the bruckenheimer work done previously with pirates of the carribian)

Compared to the classic movies like 20,000 leagues under the sea and my personal fave swiss family robinson!
