What would an F-Ticket be?

I don't think an "F" (as in better than "E") currently exists. But...

Were it to ever be built...
Indiana Jones and the Lost Expedition

That whole complex...might even be a "G".

I concur. Everything is relative. So, since we have only been given a scale of A through E by WDW, the "best" attractions are automatically an E. Thus, if something were to be an F, it has yet to be built :)

It took forty years for WED to finally be proven right by Cadillac Range: a set of southwestern mountains build on a massive scale makes for a phenomenal backdrop. Add two E-tickets and some trails and you've got the greatest complex never build, Thunder Mesa. I'd call it a T-ticket.

Fully operationaly Expedition Everest was the closest thing I've been on to an "F" ticket.

RSR isn't too far behind. I would love to ride Journey to the Center of the Earth and suspect that could top them all.

I don't think I'd consider any attraction higher than an "E".
I would, however, consider an experience an "F" ticket.

Hands-on, true to life, experiences. Richard Petty Racing Experience comes to mind. You are actually behind the wheel...not on a track...not simulated.

(And, for the record...I think Spider-Man is a better attraction than Harry Potter *ducks* )

Ducks are cool too.

People just can't stop raving about RSR. What's so great about it? You sit in a car and drive around looking
at some rocks. Big deal! It is sub-par at best.

Just kidding!!!! I haven't actually been on it! My wife and I were at DL for the first time in September 2011 and CL was still under construction, but it looked amazing.
I can't wait to go back! Everyone says it has exceeded their expectations and I am sure it will be no different for us!

I was ready to hunt you down after reading that!

Honestly can't say I've ever laughed harder than someone claiming something isn't as good as everyone says it is... But they've never ridden it...

It'd be like posting a novel rant about why the godfather isn't the best movie of all time... When you've never actually seen it but you did see goodfellas...

Needed that this morning.

An F-ticket would either have to follow the formula of old-fashioned elaborate dark rides to a T, or just give you a completely sensational "you're there" level of integration without ANY seams in the theming. And it would have to be over five minutes long.

None of this is what RSR has. It's got a modestly themed interior with a dynamite finale. An E no doubt, but an F? There are far more Disney attractions--stateside, even--that straddle that border better than it does.

Such as?

I don't think any current ride meets those requirements.

You're right. What I said was hypothetical, the point being that the F-ing ride doesn't exist yet.

But off the top of my head...Splash, Big Thunder, Pirates, Indiana Jones, Tower of Terror are all better rides than Racers.

So obviously we have A-E Tickets, a way for us to categorize the attractions in the parks judged on their thrill, detail and size.

But I ask you, what would classify as an F-Ticket? I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest RSR as the first and currently only F-Ticket.

So lets break that down. It is a long ride with a crazy amount of detail. It has various types of rides in one (thrill, dark ride). It has an entire land to back it up. A huge facade. It can take over 2000 an hour. And it cost over 200 million.

Am I on the right track here guys?

i thought it was the one i get from the police man when i'm driving to fast to get to disney.

Ok, now, all of us old folks loved Horizons.....but I'm not so sure I'd rank it as even an E-Ticket in today's world.
Ok...ok....Z ticket is pushing it, but Horizons would still be an E ticket today. Now, Discovery Mountain...... THAT would be a Z ticket! Horizons was EPCOT's showstopper and is still, to me, the best Disney ride ever made. But, you are right, I am pretty old. :)
