I'm confused why Star Wars land is even an option... There has been no evidence whatsoever that this is something really even in consideration.
I could say that I've heard solid development rumors. I could say that it just makes sense. For now, though, I would not object to you just calling me biased. I'm not a huge Star Wars geek, but I like it more than the other two options.

Oh I agree is makes sense. Why not use one of your most popular IPs? But this is TDO, so I don't expect anything "big" Star Wars related for a long time... At least not in a domestic park, and especially not WDW

I voted Avatar since it's been announced but it wouldn't surprise me in Universal started another project first.

I just think RSR is a big mistake to bring to WDW because of the weather. Another test track ride to close down when ever it rains. Unless they do it all indoors is seems foolish.

...No one thought of what is already in construction? The new 7 Dwarves mine? If that counts....
Also The Springs is in construction to, already cleared off the land.

Things that have already started don't count; otherwise Uni would have Transformers, Springfield, AND HP.
Also, I don't really count "cleared off the land" as "breaking ground". Getting rid of something old doesn't count as adding something new.

Update/observation: King Kong (not even something I had heard rumored when I started this thread) has gone vertical. Has Avatarland started that yet?

2017...I for one am very excited for it. If they rushed it people would ***** that it was rushed, they take time to give us a perfect ride and people *****. Disney can't win.
I was quoting something, hence the quote marks. And, in case FLE wasn't indication enough, taking their sweet time does not promise a top-tier product. All it does is make the project look better to investors.
Thanks for your opinion though.

Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they take forever so they can spread the spending over as many yearly quarters as they can so it doesn't look that bad to share holders/investors.

Innovations at FLE
#1. Swinging cars on 7DMT would be the most innovative
#2. The ETwB magical door that opens wider
#3. Themed areas at BOG

Plenty of let downs, though.

1) The themed cars were new, but unnecessary. The only time they're even noticeable is on straightaways right after a turn.
2) True. While it's not Poseidon's Fury water tunnel, it is an impressive effect.
3) Themed dining rooms have existed since they put restaurants in theme parks, but the West Wing has cool effects.

and the problem with that is what? Disney is a business and shareholder return is the most important metric to any business.
Besides being ridiculous it just doesn't make sense to me. I do own my own business but my measley 1.2mil last year and up to 2.6mil this year in net business doesn't mean anything compared to a company the size of Disney I know and I'm not even thinking of an IPO so idk what it's like to have shareholders. I would think though Disney could put together a nice little package and send it to all shareholders (snail mail or email) with it containing something along the lines of "we're spending a crap ton of money on some great improvements in the next 12-18 months, ROI may not be the greatest during this time period but rest assured it'll be well worth it once the new lands are fully up and running and the parks are even more jam packed then they currently are". Instead they take 4 years to build something.

Universal makes it work just fine, why can't Disney?
