For those who've cruised multiple times, which of the itineraries you sailed was your favorite and why? We've been doing a bit of reflecting recently. ;)

I've done the Dream 3-night twice: Sept. 2011 & Sept. 2012. Been on the Dream 4-night recently with the ladies of WDWMagic. I've done the Magic twice: 5-night in May 2012 & 8-night in January 2013. I've been on the Fantasy twice: May 2013 & Sept. 2013. Of all those voyages our favorite by far....and it's unanimous across the entire family....was the 8-night on the Magic in January of this year. Plenty of at-sea days. The kids really enjoyed their Vibe councelors and made friends with a tight group of kids. Our concierge and dining team were both best of the best. Everything was just, well, perfect. Tons of relaxation and tons to do. It was the best ever.

Between Magic/Med (11 nights) and Fantasy/Eastern Caribbean (7 nights), our crew goes with Magic/Med. Combo of Europe/Length/Magic/Many Sea Days, although it was close.

I can't contribute because the only cruise I've done so far was the WDWMagic girls in the Dream...and I'm booked on the Dream for February 2014 and again for the 2nd WDWMagic girls cruise in Sept 2014. So, so far, my fave is the Dream!

I would like to sail on the Magic someday, since she and I share a birthday. ;)

Our last cruise on the Magic.... CC, PC, Key West.

I'm pretty much over most of the Carribbean,,,

Someday I want to do a transatlantic. More and more I just want to enjoy the ship exprience and relax. I REALLY enjoy sea days. :D

12 night Mediterranean on the Magic. We love the Magic, but the itinerary was amazing and we saw stuff that we'll just always remember.

Siobhan, you would really appreciate the classic ships. I think you'd "get" what makes everyone get all mushy about them. ;)

Wow! So Alaska and Europe seem to be the biggest scorers here. Very interesting. I'm thinking these are about the ports and scenery. Would y'all agree?

Oftentimes I'm torn between what I want more: port-heavy or sea-day heavy. Both have a definite draw. Chandler has shown a lot of interest in the idea of European itineraries but those are so port-heavy I almost think the ship matters less for that sort of thing because the ship becomes your floating hotel. But I love Disney hotels! LOL! It's tough!

I love new ports, favorite cruise so far has been Dover to Barcelona on the Magic loved Lisbon. My kids were 7 and 9 and still talk about the market we stumbled upon in Lisbon, and one of my favorite pictures is my daughter with the Barbery Apes in Gibraltar with the Magic down below.

I know lots of people say on port intensive cruises that the ship is just a floating hotel and the ship does not matter. I disagree, just came back from a 5 port, 7 day cruise on NCL and really missed DCL. Entertainment with the exeption of 1 show was not very good and staff were not at all happy. Really missed coming back from a long day in port and taking in a Disney show and also the wonderful staff.

I have been on 10 DCL cruises and never bored, but 1 sea day on NCL and we were at loss on what to do .

Kelly, this is a great thread that you started. Since I have only one cruise so far, that is by far my favourite cruise! But it does not say anything. I understand your dilemma very well. I have never done a port heavy cruise, but the one thing that does not appeal to me about them is that I feel that I don't get to see anything properly. I am a "slow traveller" - I rather want to have the time to soak up the atmosphere of a place instead of just checking off the highlights. Being European I do have the luxury of a long weekend trip to Rome, Venice, Athens etc. But I don't think I would want that type of touring somewhere else either.

I guess I need to experiment a little before I figure out what my favourite type of cruising is! What a great reason to book another cruise!!! :D

I've done 3 cruises so far: 4-night on the Dream in Feb 2012, 7-night on the Fantasy in Oct 2012 (which was the hurricane cruise), and the recent 4-night Magic Ladies' cruise on the Dream. I enjoyed the Fantasy (I prefer longer cruises), but I loved the Ladies' cruise! I hope to go on the one

That being said- I really hope to go on the Magic (in any capacity), and also do a Med, Alaska, and Hawaii cruise someday

You should join us on the Ladies' Cruise next Sept! I know it's a long haul for you, but maybe you could roll it into a WDW/UNI trip. :)

Thanks! I silently read along about all the fun you all had! :) And I would be tempted - but September is not my preferred month for Florida (still too hot) and I do have other big ideas for next fall already - I hope to finally make it to Japan (including TDR). But since the girls cruise hopefully will become annual, who knows what the next years will bring! :)

I never pass up an available cruise that fits the family schedule. I am fortunate to be surrounded by cruise terminals in Florida. I have sailed 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15. By far, I prefer the longer cruises with many days at sea and ports different from the nearby Caribbean ports. With Disney my recent long cruises in the last few years have been cross Atlantic , Panama re-positioning, and a round trip LA to Hawaii. The European ports with a land vacation pre or post cruise suits me best. Magic and Wonder are always my favorite. I prefer the size over the larger mega ships for my tastes.

7-night Western on the Magic for the ship (and for port call on Key West), but 7-night Eastern (won't say cruise line since it was not DCL) for the ports. Absolutely love and adore St. Maarten and St. Thomas! I'm guessing it would be the same on a Disney ship as well. :p
