Definately Horizons for me.

Journey into Imagination never had a chance to spark mine, Spaceship Earth didn't really reach its full potential until the Irons version, the original Universe of Energy was even less interesting than the current version, The Land was missing a strong, memorable focus, and I never got to ride World Of Motion. The Living Seas had some really nice theming and memorable animals and exhibits, so it probably comes in second place by default.

Just curious, what was it about the Irons version of SSE that you felt was missing with the predecessor?

I put the Land because of the Kitchen Kabaret. I mean JII and the Land have always fought for #1 in my book, I loved them both so much.

Just curious, what was it about the Irons version of SSE that you felt was missing with the predecessor?

The Perrin and Cronkite versions were both lacking a complete musical score, whereas the Irons version had a very well developed (and period appropriate) musical score that really heightened the drama of the entire show and gave each scene a strong sense of place.

And even though it was the largest piece of non-original music in the 1994 score, the Bach fugue underscore for the entire descent seems so much more classy, understated, and memorable (in a good way) than Tomorrow's Child.

I've never quite cared for Cronkite's delivery of the script. I know, what should I expect, it's Walter Cronkite, I just feel like having a named "star" narrator and his actual style made Spaceship Earth seem less like a mysterious adventure and more like a field trip into a junior high educational filmstrip.

The actual script was superior in the 1994 version. It had a better flow, it was more poetic, and Jeremy Irons' vocal delivery exuded mystery and adventure.

The Living Seas for me. I liked that you were immersed in it and could really go around and interact. With the others, you were still on a moving vehicle seeing it as an observer. With the Living Seas you were a participant. That's more along the lines of what Walt wanted the theme park concept to be and I think Living Seas met that goal better than any of the others. Its still okay to go check out, but kind of sad what it's become.

Horizons was fun, but I think most people remember it as much better than it actually was.

I also loved Wonders of Life, I loved how colorful the inside was and all the cute things for the kids to learn about their body- maybe that's why it didn't last, it was geared more toward kids?

World of Motion, growing up I loved cars and to ride this attraction was one of the things I thought about when my mom would tell me that we are going to Disney:D

Hard to choose but I selected Spaceship Earth.

I recall riding on the hydrolators in the Seas and the door prematurely opening and and shutting real fast the CM saying, Uh Oh. Everyone on it laughed.

I have never been to any of the EPCOT Pavilion in their original state, but JII seems to be the best one from what I heard, read and watched.

I have always enjoyed The Land. Even without the ride along boat guide, Living with the Land is still pretty neat. I loved Food Rocks too. The Living Seas was great when it first opened as well, till you know they ruined it with Nemo and Friends

The land to me is probally to most relaxing ride to be on. I just want to have the job of the cast member that sits by him/herself before going into the outdoor garden staring at the screen:king:

Future World was the reason I became a WDW fan in the first place. I loved the whole thing and was very awed by what I saw. Edutainment was never boring for me. I loved the dinosaurs in UofE, I loved the history in World of Motion and Spaceship Earth, I loved the space segments on Horizons and Spaceship Earth, I loved the experimentation that was prevalent (or I at last believed was prevalent) in Listen to the Land. I loved the entire concept of Living Seas (and that pavilion is THE reason I feel compelled to this day to combine a WDW trip with a stop at the beach). But the thing I loved most about Future World was its optimistic view of the future. The pavilion that captured it the best for me was Spaceship Earth, and so it became and remains my favorite WDW attraction. Couple all that with the feeling of brotherhood and hope that I got when visiting World Showcase: voila, Epcot became what I have always seen as the perfect theme park experience.

I would have liked to vote 4 times, since there were 4 original attractions that always meant EPCOT to me.
1. Horizons (which is what I voted for) since it was my favorite and remember riding it at least twice a day every time we would go.
2. World of Motion - I used to love riding up the ramp in the evening and seeing SSE glowing in pink and purple. I probably have 50 photos of that scene.
3. Journey into Imagination - It was just such a happy ride with so many beautiful details. After seeing the garbage that is there now, I could almost cry. I don't even think I will take my kids to see this monstrosity when we go in a few days.
4. Spaceship Earth - While of course I still love this attraction, I still like the original with "Tomorrow's Child" playing during the decent. Hopefully one of these days they will finally get that decent right.

I loved all of the pavilions. JII was fantastic and even though it is weak sauce nowadays I still like riding it. I remember fighting with my brother over what form of transportation we took at the end of Horizons.

But I have to say I was actually a little sad when they closed the world of motion. I know a lot of people love TT but I loved the little ride outside on your way up, and the footprints on the wall as you entered the cave. I think my favorite thing was the guy looking through the telescope directly into a sea serpents eye. It was just a fun ride from beginning to end.

I remember the old one a little but the new one isn't bad to me at all. I kinda enjoy it.

I don't remember the original version all that well, but I remember being generally impressed with the change when I first saw the Ellen version. The original version also heavily advocated oil as an energy source, suggesting that fossil fuels were the way of the future (the original reason the dinosaurs were in the ride), so I don't think it would hold up too well today in terms of public opinion.

The new could just use an update, that's all... and bring back the spinning cubes!

World of Motion was the BEST designed, developed, and most entertaining of the Original EPCOT. While Horizons would be a close second, it was NOT an original EPCOT pavillion. It was the headliner of Phase 2, and opened a year after the original park opened. AND- Don't forget Ward Kimball! If we're hailing Marc Davis for WoM, we need to also include Ward Kimball!

Oh, and Horizons has been mentioned, so let me just say I got out the can opener and the can is set on the blade...:lookaroun
