You know how you listen to the radio and *that song* comes on... you may not hear it very often, but when it comes, you're tapping the gas pedal, and other motorists are looking at you funny... :lookaroun

So, what was it?

Today, I heard Don't Stop Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson - and I couldn't stop groovin'.

 Ya, I know that's pretty bad. Anyone else have one of those moments today?

"Someone Saved My Life Tonight" by Elton John. It isn't exactly a happy song, but it is one of my favorites, and I heard it twice today! It kinda gives me the chills that you asked this question today of all days.

 I'll admit it, I have caught myself "groovin'" to that song as well

My 21 month old made up a song today. She ran around in circles singing "happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy," and then pointed at the cat and ended with "NO!" ...repeat ad nauseam. I was loving it, though :D

Natural progression from yesterday's "Poison" to a song with a similar beat,

"Iesha" by ABC (Another Bad Creation)

What's wrong with me?

Somebody help!

"We played Nintendo, This was her very first date I didn't wanna make it seem to fly. We ate cereal. She couldn't stay out at late. Her mother told her to be home at nine "

I heard Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano (who is blind, BTW. I only found that out like two months ago.) twice yesterday! I was so happy. :)

Today, that song with the words, "Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your girlfriend" popped into my head, and made me smile. :lookaroun

I actually heard TWO today...and they aren't really "popular" songs anymore

1. Canned Heat by Jamiroquia (This is the song Napoleon Dynamite danced to at the end of the movie)

2. Don't Feel Like Dancing by The Scissor Sisters. (I dare you to listen to that song and not at LEAST bob your head)

the reason I'm called "songbird" is because I love music, almost all kinds of music.

this gave me a smile today:

Call on your angels
Come down to the city
Crowd around the big tree
All you strangers who know me
Bring your compassion
Your understanding
Lord, ow we need it
On this New York City Christmas

Yeah I'm sending you a merry New York Christmas
and a prayer for peace on earth within our time
Hear the sidewalk angels echo halleluja
We understand more, now more than ever

So call on your angels
You're beaten and broken
It's time that we mended
So they don't fade with the season
Let our mercy be the gifts we lay
From Brooklyn and to Broadway
Celebrate each and every day
of this New York City Christmas

Yeah I'm sending you a merry New York Christmas
and a prayer for peace on earth within our time
Hear the sidewalk angels echo halleluja
We understand more, now more than ever
Merry New York Christmas

Call on your angels
Come down to the city
Let's Crowd around the big tree
All you strangers you know me
Bring your compassion
Bring your forgiveness
Lord how we need it
On this New York City Christmas

Yeah, I'm sending you a Merry New York Christmas
And a prayer for peace on Earth
It's not too late
Yeah the sidewalk angels echo hallelujah
We understand them
We understand them
Merry Christmas
Yes, a New York City Christmas
(Oh Christmas)

today I heard an acoustic version of "Livin' on a Prayer" -- Bon jovi recorded it at the Concert for New York in 2001 very different version, much melloer.

Peaches girrrrrrrl.

I had my employees at work singing Poison the other day and now I heard them all singing Iesha.

"We played Ninteeeennnnndooooo, This was her very first date I didn't wanna make it seem to fly. We ate ceeereeeaaaaaalllll. She couldn't stay out at late her mother told her to be HOME at nine."

This afternoon for some reason or another I had "On Our Own" by Bobby Brown in my head. I have no idea why.
