DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

The show has a huge fandom and it has transcended the popularity of your standard kids show. Even the people at my job who couldn’t care less about the “stereotypical Disney stuff” all know and love it.

The fandom really isn't that big. It's definitely huge for a Disney animated TV show, but that's kind of a separate scale.

This feels like one of those scenarios where you're too close to it to be able to recognize that it's simply not comparable to movie IPs. They have things like Moana, Aladdin, Lion King, the Incredibles, Inside Out, etc. that don't have any major attractions.

Disney would have released one of the films in theaters if they thought it would be a major draw.

1. The first movie actually did release in theaters in Spain. 2. Of course it’s not as popular as those. I don’t think Disney would do it but I think the popularity would be there for something relatively small.

As previously stated they almost made a ducktales ride in California. Now I don’t think one is on route any time soon but popularity doesn’t seem to be an issue when it comes down to it.
I believe that Ducktales is a different story because that ride seems like it was going to focus on Donald and the Triplets. Like Runaway Railway before it, even if it’s based on a specific modern incarnation of those characters Donald Duck is an evergreen IP. That’s much easier to greenlight than a tv show that might not be relevant down the line. Even then, it STILL didn’t manage to get built.

They’re missing a real opportunity to put Marvel into AC (one hypothetical day long in the future) and then rebrand the old Pixar Place road as Acquisition Alley (Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, throw in Muppets for good measure)

Well they can't use Marvel, so there is not need to keep mentioning it...aside from that, they have not produced a compelling attraction having to do with Marvel either.....I am hoping the whole Super Hero thing is on the way out...

They are literally tearing out the heart of the MK in order to cram a Cars franchise in there, meanwhile this re-used flex space seems to go on and on and on.... If they are in such desperate need for attraction space why have they not torn all of this down....and replaced it with something new and compelling?.

Well... they can't use the avengers or fantastic 4. Not all Marvel is off the table even if we as fans don't know exactly what is available.

I think proven to be available (due to M&G/attractions) are Dr. Strange, Big Hero 6, and Guardians of the Galaxy. I think Moonknight also had a poster in DHS.

Regardless, I can't see them building a marvel land and not having access to at least one of Iron man or Spiderman.

Wasn’t the duck tales planned to be the big new ride to market as part of the toon town overhaul before they decided to just build a copy of runaway railway?

They can use some Marvel and IMHO it wouldn't be surprising if that finds its way into DHS. Would have made more sense to keep GotG out of Epcot though if that was the plan.

No. Whatever it is, I hope MuppetVision fans and others can join together in enjoying it. Like some bohemian rhapsody. So bring out your old Kodachrome cameras and we’ll all jungle boogie down to see it.
I'm sorry, but a NEW Electric Mayhem show is not as appealing to me as MuppetVision.

I don't understand how they could be so dense as to spend money to create an ALL-NEW SHOW when they could make SO MANY PEOPLE happy by simply moving MuppetVision over here.

Simple. MuppetVision is a 30+ year old 3-D show. Yes, its beloved by fans, but I don't think Disney sees much reason to invest in moving something that "dated." It's the same reason why we got a new Country Bears show instead of a refresh of the original script. A "NEW ELECTRIC MAYHEM SHOW" will probably drive more attendance and put more butts in seats than "The show you've seen before moved to a new spot."
