What Ride should they make a film about?

I think the Country Bears is the only movie that was better than the attraction. It's totally cheese ball and campy, but fun in its own way.

Anyway... I agree I think EE is the next obviouse choice for a movie, either that or the Enchanted Tikki Room.:D

Seriously though, I wish they would make another HM movie without Eddie Murphy and with a totally different plot. I mean there is so much they could have done with that, instead they produced a movie that was too stupid for me to want to watch and too scary for kids to watch.

On a serious note why not make a ride based on the Malestrom or Thunder MOuntain

Now there's an idea. Someone gets sent back in time to ancient Norway, where he and a band of vikings must overcome monsters, polar bears, trolls, and the gods themselves to save the world. Along the way, the time-traveler realizes his Viking ancestry and that he's the key to unlocking a secret prophesy. An action scene would include a waterfall at some point (with a familiar evil 3-headed troll shouting "back! back! over the falls!"). The climax could be back in the present day; a thrilling fight between our hero and the villain on top of an oil rig during a raging thunderstorm.

And of course, someone must utter the line "Yoo are not the virst to pahs thiz vay, nor shall yoo be the lahst!"

As a former cast member at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, I can tell you I cant count the number of times guests would say to me or some other cast member, that this ride should be made into a movie.

The western movie genre as long been over due for another hit.

Well back when SM was sponsored by FedEx me and my brother always thought they should make a sci-fi comedy about a space delivery company with David Spade.... we didn't know about Futurama then.

I must admit that I don't keep up with Disney movie releases the same way I do with theme park stuff. I was in the Disney DVD section of Best Buy the other day and noticed a cartoon called "Dinosaur" that seemed to be using the same or similar font to the ride Dinosaur in AK. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but does this movie have anything to do with the ride? I don't ever remember hearing about "Dinosaur" in theaters so it was probably straight to DVD.

Just found the answer to my own question! Thanks Wikipedia.

The Countdown to Extinction attraction at the Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park was re-named and re-themed to the movie, and is now known as Dinosaur. The storyline was always intended to tie in with the movie, considering the usage of a Carnotaur as the ride's antagonist and Aladar is the iguanadon that guests rescued from the meteor shower and take him back into the present, seen wandering the Dino Institute in Security Camera footage seen on monitors in the attraction's unloading area.

Well, Dinosaur is another one that we can add to the list of rides that became movies. I had always wondered why they changed the attraction name.

Also, did anyone mention Mission to Mars with Harlan Williams?

I Think Big Thunder has the most potential to be an interesting movie, even though I don't usually like Westerns. Otherwise I'd say they should make a movie about the family who lived inside the Swiss family treehouse, but they beat me to that one before I was even born, plus they are making a re-make.

It already was, "Mission to Mars" with Gary Sinese playing the same character as in the attraction. Originally the tie-in was going to be stronger, with props from the movie in the pre-show. The movie bombed (it was riddled with plot-holes and bad science) so they removed any obvious connections.

ummmm I thought Mission To Mars was based off of the Mission To Mars attraction that was in Tomorrowland:lookaroun not Mission:Space

The movie took its name from the original attraction, but considering the strong "space-age" 1960's aesthetics and feel, they really don't have much to do with each other.
So think of it as an attraction inspiring a movie inspiring another attraction!

You could say that Mission:Space was concieved to be another extension of Disney's M2M "brand".

i personally think if they could try to redo the Haunted mansion film. it could have done so well if the script wasnt so bad. And Eddie Murphy. i like him alot in all his movies but this one.
