What ride needs an update the most?

Was just on Jungle Cruise yesterday- about half the animatronics were inoperable. It could certainly use some new effects too, particularly in the temple.

Impressions de France - my favorite film at EPCOT - also looks extremely dated in spite of its recent re-mastering and the timelessness of many of the sites. And the gimmicky CGI Soarin - in spite of its update - looks horrible next to a show like IdF which manages to be breathtaking without CGI.

Peter Pan needs a massive overhaul. It's by far the worst version worldwide- every other park's has been massively updated while WDW stays stuck in the 70's. Buzz could use a good refresh too, and so could Pooh. It's far from the worst but certain scenes fall flat in 2019.

I'd love to see the final scene of Carousel of Progress updated. Also Voyage of the Little Mermaid could use a bit of a refresh

I was going to mention Carousel of Progress as well, but it is so behind the times and uninteresting at this point. The only real point to it is that its the only ride that you can really walk on when the park gets crowded -- as its generally interesting to nobody.

If we're including it on the list of "rides" then the monorail is easily the number one in my book. Long past the life span those trains were supposed to have.

I'd also put Space Mountain on there. it's definitely showing its age. I've heard good things with the complete rebuild they did in CA and frankly think the one in Florida could use it as well.

There are a number of rides that could use a "refresh/ refurbishment" but I don't think really need updates. Buzz and Carousel of Progress would go there in my book.

At Epcot, it's not a "ride" per se, but the whole of Innoventions needs some massive work on them. That's practically a crime to have the former Communicore sitting there basically empty.

Ah Space Mountain, that gives me a reason to post this. Should start at 16:06.

I seriously wonder when, if ever, they will spend $$ on seriously renovating old rides, versus putting all their attention towards building new ones. It seems as if they know the new rides are what will get them a better ROI, where fixing the people mover isnā€™t ever going to move the needle.

It stinks, because thereā€™s rides that need it- Space Mountain is basically like being in a car accident at this point.

After watching some history videos on the PeopleMover in Disneyland, I say when Disney makes bank off of the SWLs, they should start by reconstructing the PeopleMover in Disneyland to replicate the one in Florida. I hear people miss that ride dearly there.

There were so many attractions that needed work the last time we were there.
** Jungle Cruise - animatronics old and several inoperable. Need replacement or sprucing up.
** Peter Pan - It needs some serious attention. Anything that still has a 2 hour wait needs to be cleaned up.
** Buzz Lightyear - at the tome, maybe the filthiest, rundown queue I saw.
** While it's not a "ride" the monorail cars need to be replaced sooner than later. They are an iconic part of the MK.

A few people have mentioned the monorail:

I'd say that they should reconfigure it so that the rails from ECPOT to the ticket center and from the ticket center for MK connect, and that the ticket center is a stop on the line. I don't think that this would cost much, and I think that Disney is missing a big chance to give guests a chance to go to EPCOT from MK express, or from the hotels to EPCOT express. Its lame to have to get off and get on another train.

It's interesting to a lot of people that are Disney historians or that are interested in Walt's way of seeing the world.

Right. Because it's never amazing to look back on how things used to be, how things have changed, and to look at how far we've come in the span of 100 years.

Aside from Buzz and Space, I'd add Tower of Terror.

It's unlikely to ever happen without a retheme to go with it, but the audio has fallen way out of sync over the years, the projectors don't have that true-black effect anymore creating an awkward border around projections, and despite the soft spot I have for the 5th Dimension scene, it is incredibly hokey today. Definitely not as bad as the above other two, but worth mentioning.
