What ride needs a refurbishment the most?

I really think that it would be great if they shut down Buzz Lightyear and replaced the guns with the handheld ones like in Disneyland. Don't get me wrong...LOVE that ride. But it would be easier to get Galactic Hero if I could point my gun anywhere.
I also think that Country Bears could use some freshening. I think a lot of rides could. They just need some new paint and some oiling up. They did that with small world a while ago and it looked amazing when it was done; all it took was new clothes and new paint and the ride came alive.
Big Thunder's effects could be fixed and it would be perfect.

The only attraction I would fight for complete removal would be, like everyone else, Stitch. Hate that ride, and it could be replaced with something good.
Never rode Dreamfinder, so I couldn't give an accurate review on that. I always thought that Imagination as it is now was charming, but I never saw the old version.

I wish that they would also fix, not just refurb, but FIX Splash Mountain, so it didn't break so much. Got evacuated from that last trip and it was a little nerve wracking.

I actually don't mind Peter Pan. Yeah, it's old and COULD use an update, but in a way, that's part of it's charm.

- Country Bears needs a new sound system.
- Carousel Of Progress needs maintenance on the AA's.
- Someone mentioned making Maelstrom longer. While I agree that would be nice, it's impossible unless they gut the building and start from scratch. Not gonna happen.
- Splash Mountain simply needs to be cleaned more often. There was a time when Disney went through each ride every day to clean up trash left by some of the "guests" who live in barns. They clearly don't do that any more.
- Test Track. There are so many things not working on the ride, it's embarrassing.
- Astro Orbiter. Clean the rockets. It looks like a ride at a traveling fair.
- Every movie attraction. Someone needs to inform Disney of this new thing called Digital Technology.

In the Anti-lock brake test in Test Track is that part of the ride broken? I remember a few years ago the first brake test without anti-lock brakes use to be different. You use to kind of peel out towards the left and hit cones, but the last few times I have ridden that part its completely different. You know anything about this?

I'd have to say Splash Mountain. Just back from our vacation and everytime we rode (3 times) the ride was stopped telling us to remain in our cars for about 20 minutes each time! I know that people in wheel chairs cause this type of stopping, but for 20 minutes?

Also encountered the same problem on HM. About 30 minutes backwards going down the ramp. I don't think HM needs an update as I love this ride and the updates that occured.

Peter Pan was the first one that came to mind.

It's like riding thru a kid's school project at this point. Everything in there is just so old and dated it looks like amateur hour.

Plain and simple... THE INDY CARS.

It's now 2011, and with global warming I believe that Disney has a responsibility to become more environmentally friendly with this ride.

The time has passed to have 80-100 non-emission gas engines pouring hydrocarbons into our atmosphere for our children's generation.

Disney needs to lead by example, and used electric vehicles on this ride (with perhaps engine sound effects).

Anything in Future World. It's now so run down they shouldn't be allowed to use the word "future" until they upgrade everything.

I just talked with a buddy of mine who used to work at Disney, and he told me the thing he hated MOST was working the Speedway. He said it was one of the biggest hassles to keep up on, and he told me he thinks he'll have cancer someday from all the fume intake he did working out there!

I can think of a couple hundred good reasons why Disney should rehab or enhance one of their attractions ... and I still don't think "because Disney should lead by example on global warming" would make the Top 500. All that amounts to is a political statement.

My choice would be the BackLot Tour. It's been gutted over the years and if they could improve this attraction significantly on the cheap.

Carosel of Progress, I think the guy looks fake compared to the new ones they made Ex- Barack O Bama. Also in the last one that supposed to be new day and age it looks old to me too!

Agreed! I don't think that merely updating the TV in the final scene is enough of an upgrade.

Wow, you sound really angry about this... I feel sorry for you. I can't even begin to reply since you seem to have other underlying issues to resolve.

All I'm saying is that my children and future grandchildren need to live on a clean planet. Many people view Disney as the 'cutting edge' in theme park design throughout the world. Therefore, leading by example was meant to take the lead against global warming and the ill effects of pollutants in our air. Companies such as Toyota and other automotive companies are leading by example by introducing hybrid and electric technologies for the future; so why can't Disney.

I agree. I'm sick of this hippy green nonsense too.

Right, ok, so somehow you believe politics has to be the reason why someone would care about the Earth. This leads me to believe that you're paranoid or something, thinking the government has taken over the minds of every single person. Now I'm not saying the world needs to go electric (especially since we'll just be making pollution at the factories that make the electricity), but I do agree that this ride definitely either needs to be seriously refurbished or simply taken out.

Yes, I was furious. I shook my fist in the air endlessly and then threw my computer out of my office window. Then I screamed for hours. The cops were called and eventually they tasered me to subdue me. Spent the night in jail. When they bailed me out, I had to run out and purchase a new laptop this morning in order to craft this reply.

He specifically said Disney should do it as a political statement; he said they needed to "lead by example". Did you even read his post? I prefer my Disney parks to be apolitical. Also, the world's been cooling for approximately twelve years (since the El Nino in 1999); many in the scientific community have stopped referring to it as global warming and started using climate change as a reflection of this trend.

Philharmagic needs rehab bad. The carpet and wallpaper were disgusting last time we were there.

Great Movie Ride was in poor condition as well.
