I liked POFQ when it was just DW and I; a quiet, smallish resort with an idealized spin on the French Quarter. Maybe give that a try.

Crescent Lake is perhaps the most adult area of WDW; several restaurants and bars at the area's 5 hotels plus within walking distance of the World Showcase of Epcot. Consider the Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan, or Dolphin for just the 2 of you.

Visited them all on different trips.
Stayed at the Polynesian and Contemporary Garden Wing. Then we booked POFQ when they both were booked up and was pleased with the feel of the resort. Been returning ever since. But DW does want to try AK & AoA on future trips. Guess I'll have to stay with her.
