What planet would you replace Batuu at Disneyland?

Coruscant would only work indoors under a projection dome. In other words you’ll never see it.

Honestly, I would appreciate a Coruscant-esque area in the style of Epcot's Mexico Pavilion. A large building with some projection mapping technology for the ceiling to add height, some faux buildings, some forced perspective tricks... I think it could work. Now will that ever happen? Absolutely not, but I can dream can't I?

All the walkways should look like bridges and/or floating platforms with a ton of city above and below. Real buildings could go up then I’m sure some tricks could be used below. But then nothing is realistically connected via a walking path unless the entire land is the Jedi Temple etc. There also needs to be speeder traffic. A bunch of larger dressed drones flying in freeway-like patterns for up to 16 hours? I wish

A system that has bodies of water and iconic buildings on dry land might look the best. Naboo?

Let's face it, none of the planets would ever work in a theme park. There's far too much working against them being pleasant or realistic. That's part of what makes Batuu so stupid. WDI had a chance to design a planet perfect for a theme park that would be pleasant, realistic, and feel like Star Wars, and yet they blew it. It's a shame, really.

I think Endor could have worked. Then one issue would be it being too similar to Grizzly Peak or Critter Country but it could be Avoided with good design/ theming

I don't care what any of you nerds say, none of the prominent worlds in Star Wars are nice (with the exception of Endor) and wouldn't be pleasant places to escape to. Theme parks, like movies, should offer escapism from the real world. Seeing run down, miserable, dumps for the price of $125 is not good!

I like star wars but I am not a nerd. It sounds like your mad at disney for not making your dreams come true. Not all theme parks are going to be nice. I think the worst parks are the zoos and the aquarium. They have small cages and spaces for these animals. Some of the animals are big and need a lot of space.

Why does a Star Wars planet have to be pleasant? Maybe they should’ve given us the planet with the bugs, Geonosis.

This document, presumably a gamers manual, is amazing (or hilarious ... from a different point of view). It goes to show how a little imagination can make any locale interesting and fun.

Plus, I'd like to see a side-by-side of Oga's and the cantina on page 54 of the pdf (53 of the original document).

I don't need a different planet. I just need what Disney's senior executives said we would have in this land during the 2015-2017 timeframe when they were talking openly about how cutting edge and IMMERSIVE! this new land would be.

They lied.

I just need senior Disney executives to stop being liars and bring back all the stuff they said the land would have; roaming droids, bizarre aliens, interactive bounty hunters who know you suck at flying the Millennium Falcon, stunt shows, etc., etc.

Like all of the lands even the original park land, just give it time. Every land over time became better, added attractions, rides, and merch/food. Granted Tomorrow land had the issue of tomorrow always becoming today, so it is hard to keep sci-fi from becoming non-fiction. They will add as they find a new way to bank money.

I don't think they lied because the infrastructure for that stuff is there. It was TDA entertainment that cut those things from the budget because, well, new senior executive Bob from accounting needed a new Telsa company car.

Just gonna repost my response from the other thread. I would pick Tatooine. PEOPLE WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE LOCATIONS FROM THE MOVIE. It is why Wizarding World works and keeps getting expansions and is in multiple parks. In Tatooine you would be able to do the following:
1 Go visit Luke's home and sit at the same table he and Anakin did. you could sell AUNT BERU'S HOME MADE BLUE MILK there.
visit the garage where he gave 3P0 a bath and took the restraining bolt of R2
2. you could visit Jabba's Palace with a fully working Jabba AA. hell even have solo in carboinite in there.
have a ride based around the rancor and sarlacc pitt with working AA's of both plus you can have bobba fett walking around and the max rebo band and dancers and tons of aliens and droids
3. you can go to the ACTUAL FILM PRESENTED cantina with the band playing the song. visit the counter where luke stood. sit at the table Han sat at and killed greedo at.
4. Since this is where we first ever saw the falcon you can keep your falcon ride in the land and it would work better because you can get ride of pointless hondo and bring in Han and Chewie.
5. you can have a pod race ride on the outskirs along with sand people walking around and sand crawlers and dew backs.
you can keep the droid depot run only by Jawas this time inside a sand crawler.

6. you can have a BUILD YOUR LIGHTSABER show only this time it is in Obi-wan's home which is where luke first was presented with Anakin's saber and where he built his green one. and you can have force ghost Obi-Wan and force ghost Yoda lead the show instead of cast memebers who can't act.

this and much more you can do with tatooine.

Your entire pitch is to just create mock-ups of film locations that you can, what, walk through like the houses in Toon Town? I mean, seriously, what is fun about that? None of your specific ideas for rides or attractions actually work.

A version of Tatooine could have worked, but just name-checking a laundry list of locations is not a sustainable or remotely interesting idea.
