What One thing do you miss about WDW?

The thing I miss about Walt Disney World most when I'm not there is the same thing I miss most when I am there - the Future World that included Horizons, World of Motion, the original Journey Into Imagination, Food Rocks!, Alec Tronic, and Wonders of Life. Future World inspired me on so many levels when I first visited. If only I could visit there again. I suppose, via video, I still can, but obviously it's not the same.

I actually miss staying at the disney hotels. I have loved hotels since I was a kid cause my father was in the military and we travelled a lot and did a lot of road trips... and of course there is something special at the disney hotels.

I love the themes of them all (I've stayed at the moderate and the allstars) and just the feeling that you're going to come back to a fresh, clean room and I love walking around the property and going to enjoy a nice breakfast there....

I guess a part of it is the feeling of no responsibility too.

ahh.. I really should stay at the deluxe hotels sometime huh? :)

I miss that happy feeling that takes over you when you walk onto Main St. I miss how for that week the kids and us parents are just relaxed and having fun, good quality time together without having to run here and there for sports and activities. OH, I can't wait for December!:xmas:

i miss being a kid

the part i miss the most is since you know almost no one there besides who your with you can act like a kid no matter how old you are and have the best time of your life i love getting to weear the cheesy hats and shirts and lickin those huge lollipops and goning into world of disney and playin with all the stuffed animals and games you just feel like a kid again and you never get tired of disney when i come home i have to remember that i cant act like a kid again and act like a three year old thats what i miss the most :(

Wow! This is a great post and it never stops amazing me how many people Disney World touches and how many people feel just like me!

Not to jump on the bandwagon, but it is most certainly the SMELLS of Disney that I notice the most. I too have always associated smells with memory...in fact my friends call me "bloodhound"..hahaha.

The smell of the bakery as you go down Mainstreet, the smell of the water in POTC or IASM, the smell of a musty dark ride. Of course sights and sounds too. Also the taste of the chlorinated water from the water fountains....it's not so good, but yet it's SO GOOD because it's just so Disney World!

But the thing I MISS the most is the feeling of utter happiness and joy, dreams do come true when you're there, and you share the best times of your lives with the people you're with. You are in an altered reality, one that I wish I could live in always...but leaving and going back is what makes it so appealing to us all. I LOVE DISNEY WORLD!

The overall atmosphere of Disney World is unlike anything else in the world. Everyone there is having fun, and there is magic in every step.

I agree, having nothing to do but have fun is an incredible feeling. Leaving all of your cares and worries behind you. And knowing that tomorrow, you will do it all over again.

I miss that warm feeling you get in your stomach as you ride the monorail for the first time...

Ditto!! Couldn't have said it better myself.

as much as I like Buzz Lightyear, I liked the ride that was in its place before it, i cant remember the name.

If You Had Wings.

As many others have said its that escape from realty and complete calmness that overcomes me when I first drive onto a Disney road and see the first signs. And of course the feeling of entering Main Street and taking it all in!

Delta Dreamflight and Take Flight were actually there before Buzz Lightyear. If You Had Wings was the first to inhabit the building.

I miss it all. I can't choose one thing. Though I find msyself often going through tough times in life and just think "Darn it, why can't I be in Disney World right now?"
