What makes you cry at WDW?

Leaving Epcot after Illuminations hearing promises for the last time of that trip. It's sad cause I know I'll be back whenever I want since I live nearby but gets me everytime lol

Having to be in this while at the airport...It's your last taste of Florida for good.........Until next time....

The end of Illuminations and certain parts of Wishes tend to do this for me. For all the flak EPCOT gets about no longer being a place that wants to inspire people for the future, the former show always leaves me full of that traditional EPCOT optimism.

When I see that dreaded DME eviction notice hanging on the door the day before leaving. Actually leaving- there are no words for that empty feeling I have when waiting for DME to pick us up... it is the exact opposite feeling I have when we arrive and get on that bus, that's for sure! Wishes gets me every time. I get teary eyed just wandering around Epcot at night by myself, taking in all of the sights, sounds and smells. I am just so happy that I am at the one place that makes me like I am home. The MK welcome show. Walking down Main Street for the first time of the trip and seeing the beautiful castle. We go in Nov when MK is all done up for xmas, so hearing their xmas park music loop when entering and walking down Main Street gets me every time. I get chills!

All I can say is... Thank goodness for sunglasses!!!!! :arghh: :cool:

Quite a bit gets me crying at wdw, but the thing that got me on my last trip was the "welcome home" sign over the entrance at AKL. Just that comforting feeling of being at home is something I love so much about wdw.

  • The first shot of Illuminations.
  • The exit music of EPCOT on my final night there
  • (lighter side) Being able to listen to all the different area music WITHOUT Live365 commercial interruption
  • Getting in the car from Florida tours when it's time to leave

Future World East, especially at night when there's no one around and the Universe of Energy is closed. Knowing what was there, remembering the way it was, the inability to even make out the abandoned Wonder of Life pavilion behind a forest and the painful memory of the complete and utter destruction of Horizons. It feels positively post-apocalyptic.

This.

Yea, I walk under the train station and get a glimpse of the castle and I tear up. My wife thinks it's the funniest thing...it just hits me. also, I get a little emotional on small world and at the kiss goodnight.
I usually cuss all the way to the world, and to home at others driving.... So, It makes up for it.
