What is your opinion on how to do Breakfast at WDW?

Couple options for you here
  1. QS Breakfast is cheapest meal so pay out of pocket.
  2. Bring a box of cereal / cereal bars to eat before you leave the room.
  3. Resort restaurant has Fruit or mini cereal boxes that count as snacks in necessary.
(Though I would probably use my snack credits for true snacks within the park)

4. Coffee can be made in the room or paid for at the restaurant or when you get to the park. But if your like me i cannot wait too well until I get to the park for my morning coffee. Each park does have coffee near the entrances. (Epcot even has it available outside the gates while your waiting for it to open).

Well I, for one, love me my American breakfasts. I'm quite eager to start the day with a stack of pancakes and syrup. But I always have to have my cup(s) of tea. Unfortunately, I can never get a good cup of tea in the US.

Were a family of six, four kids, so well have to get them started in the morning. Well will stop at Hess and get milk, donuts, water, and juice. Well bring down a bag with small cereal boxes, fruit snacks, and nutrigrain bars, this will give us a good start to the day. But we do plan One big breakfast buffet each visit, and this usually happens when well gonto EPCOT, because then well can eat around WS. But for the most part, I good get coffee in the morning and well all have a quick breakfast in the room, this saves us TS, QS, and snacks to use on more fun food items, like goofy taffy, Kona cafe, or cosmic rays topping bar.

We don't have any kids either and it's never been a problem. It's more than enough food to get started and if you're on the dining plan it saves the QS Meal for lunch or dinner, which is a better value.

Thanks! A great idea! I really appreciate it! :)

We are going in Sept, without the dining plan. My plan is to bring a pack of english muffins and bagels in our suitcases to save money but also we aren't HUGE breakfast eaters so it saves money/time and I have had the gastric bypass so I only eat a few bites and are full anyway, so why waste all the money on a big breakfast... hopefully this works, fingers crossed!

Let me know how it goes! :)

Garden Grocer has 15 slots open per day. $14 delivery fee and minimum of $40 order. It is worth it! Check them out online. They delivery to bell services. Plus they refrigerate anything that is needed.

Thanks! Good to know about the 15 slots ahead of time. Do you by chance know how far in advance they take orders?

Since we are discussing food, how does room service for breakfast work exactly? We will be staying in the Poly in Oct. I have never ordered AM service. I have read that you can fill out a card and have it delivered..do you specify a time or what? Thanks!

We have done it before. There is a card that you hang on door . It has to be out there before a particular time. Don't know what that is off hand. And you pick what you want and a window of time to have it delivered. And then they deliver it in the a.m. If you call in the a.m. with an order, it can take a while to have it delivered. Hope this helps! :)

I think you can order as far out as the calendar on their system will let you. I usually start 90 days out with shopping. Create a account so you can click the little heart in the corner above an item that you are interested in. It will automatically be added to your favorite list. I go big then become more realistic. Usually a case of water, snacks and some fruit. I order 30 to 45 days out. I don't want to lose out on any of the 15 spots!
They have live chat on their site or toll free number. They have excellent customer service. I have always been notified when my order was placed, when it arrived and a follow up call to make sure all was good. I have used them ever since my son was born on Disney trips and now cannot imagine traveling to WDW without their service.

It comes in the room. Or you can call room service the day before as well. :)

When we went last year we flew, so we couldn't take a case of bottled water like we usually do. About 10 days before our trip, I ordered a case of water and a case of small bottles of apple juice from WalMart.com and had them delivered to our resort. The package was waiting for us when we arrived and they delivered it right to our room with our luggage. It was PERFECT and cheap!

We typically eat protein bars and make our own instant coffee (Starbucks via usually). I really like the idea of baggies of cereal though. I'm not a huge cereal guy (usually a high protein breaky), but sometimes I need to extra carbs in the morning while running around Disney.

We like to do breakfast in the parks prior to opening, or at a resort at one of the last seatings. This way we are in the parks and done by rope drop, or can enter the park at rope drop then leave for a late breakfast/early lunch when it starts to get crowded. We also have groceries delivered from garden grocer, so we can eat something as we head to the park on the mornings we plan to eat later.

I also like getting in early so you can get a pic with not many people behind you. :) I think we are going to do garden grocer this year. :) Thanks!

Depends. Sometimes we have cereal in the room and get lunch later, or sometimes we go out to breakfast (we don't get a dining plan) and get lunch even later. Just all depends on when the ADRs are.
