I was listening to one of my Disney CDs in the car (yes, I do that) and the music from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride came on. I realised, as my stomach filled with butterflies, that the ride is my 'I'm really here at WDW' realisation moment
I love hearing the music as you enter the parks (doesnt matter which park), but overall, it has to be when i see the castle for the first time each trip!!!
Riding on Spaceship Earth. When you're in your vehicle and you start "Like a grand and miraculous spaceship" and it's all dark? Yep. Good thing its dark because I'm tearing up. It's my "I'm really here" moment.
I feel better as soon as I pass under the Walt Disney World sign but I really feel like I'm there when I walk my resort. It doesn't matter which one but the one that feels most like "home" is the Poly. The sounds and smell of the lobby all say Disney to me and I'm at peace
I get pretty excited when I get to the Dme line at Mco. I also get that feeling when I step onto Main Street Usa and see thecastle, smell, the smells and hear the sounds !! Great Now Im all excited to go and we dont have a Trip planned until Next year...
When the doors slide open at POP and you get your first smell everything magical (I think it really may be the vanilla flavoring they use in the cookies). Nothing like it!
We had a magnet on the fridge from POP and six months later we caught my daughter holding it to her nose sniffing and she promised she could smell the POP!
On I-4 when I see the first billboards for Disney Parks. I get a thrill when I see Universal and Sea World knowing I am so close! I see the exit signs, and man I am there!

I have various "moments." My first one is right after the flight crew announce that we are on our final descent into Orlando. I can barely sit still in my seat when that plane has landed...I swear no child fidgets in their seat as much as me when that plane lands! I LOVE walking thru the concourse at MCO....so familiar and my gateway to Home. The Walt Disney World arch/sign literally brings tears to my eyes and the purple and blue signs of WDW have me over the moon....I am there! By the time we are pulling into the driveway for the WL, I am a pile of mush. OK, I think I may need therapy...nah, just my next trip to WDW!
