I have been to all of them and stayed at a few and my favorite is the Polynesian. Beautiful resort, gorgeous atmosphere, good food, and love the monorail line!!

Contemporary

I voted for the Contemporary - I absolutely love California Grill, hear great things about the Wave (will try it my next visit), think that the monorail access is fantastic, and like that its, well, 'contemporary'. The fact that I first stayed there in '74 may also be a factor ....

The Animal Kingdom Lodge was a very close second for me - I love Jiko and Boma, the lobby, the savanna views, etc., but don't think that the rooms quite measure up - and it is quite 'off the beaten path', meaning long bus rides or driving to the parks.

Yacht & Beach Club is very pretty, and access to EPCOT via the International Gateway is so cool (particularly during the Wine & Food Festival) but I don't enjoy the dining there as much, nor do I find the theme as immersive.

It has been a long time since I've stayed at the Polynesian - though I did visit back in November - its very pretty, but just is not #1 for me.

Contemporary all the way! The views from the Magic Kingdom view rooms are awesome. The rooms are big, love the architecture & design, the location, convenience to the monorail & walk to Magic Kingdom. I've stayed at the Poly & Animal Kingdom Lodge but neither do it for me the way the Contemporary does.

Boardwalk for me. Lots of energy on the boardwalk, calm in the gardens. Great slide at the pool. Walking distance to dining and entertainment at Yacht/Beach/Dolphin/Swan. Close to Epcot and DHS.

Have stayed at: AKL, WL, Poly, YC, BWI, and Contemporary.

Of those, I most want to go back to the Poly.

However, the family and I really enjoyed all of them except WL. For some reason, WL just didn't do it for us, though I know a lot of people love it there.

Contemporary, hands down. Love the monorail being a 5-minute walk from my room and the MK views can't be beat. I've stayed at the Poly, and it's nice, but it can be a hike to catch the monorail or get a snack. Have no desire to stay at either the AKL or the GF.

Sayed at Grand Floridian 10+ times, Wilderness Lodge 8+ times and Boardwalk 4 times. Vote goes to Grand Flo for atmosphere, peacefulness and access to MK and Ft. Wilderness.
Wilderness Lodge comes in 3d for same reasons as Grand Flo.
Boardwalk comes in 2d for access to Monorail (thru Epcot), Epcot access and DHS.
But Grand Floridian is always at the top of my list. But since joining DVC, I stay at Wilderness Lodge the most.

We have yet to do any of the deluxe. But since we've been going to Disney, our first night we go to the Contemporary and do Chef Mickeys! the atmosphere, the resort itself being something to behold. we have always loved it! so much so that in june 2009, we bought into the DVC and Bay Lake Tower! we are soooooo excited and can not wait! We have been to Boardwalk, Poly, GF and Saratoga Springs, just to tour them and they are all beautiful, but it will always be the Contemporary for us!
