The Polynesian Village blows all of the others out of the water! Wilderness Lodge is a solid second, though.

We stayed at the Poly last summer and I really enjoyed staying there and love to visit, but to me all of the best aspects of the resort can be experienced by anyone who isn't staying there. The rooms are big and refurbished, but I like the way the AKL rooms are laid out a lot better, especially the bathroom setup where the sinks and mirror are separated from the shower and toilet.

To me, hoping on a monorail outside the MK and walking around the Poly for a couple of hours is just as good as staying there, especially for the price. Being that close to the MK is definitely not a deal breaker for me because that is the park I spend the least amount of time in.

The Poly for sure....it's older (although lots of refurb and rehab throughout the years) and it's $$$$ (you pay for the amenities). It's perfect especially if you have kids, spend most of your time at the MK, etc.

I agree with everything you said. I don't see the point of spending the nightly rate at the Poly just for a monorail ride. The resort doesn't even have a hottub.
