We are arriving at Orlando around 12 noon and I am wondering what everyones favorite first meal is? I have my Grandson age 5, granddaughter age 1, daughter, my husband and myself. Any great suggestions?

We usually do biergarten now a days, but when our son was younger we always did a character meal. Chef Mickeys or Crystal palace are always fun and a great way to get into full disney mode

Our first dinner is always Ohana (seriously, in the past I changed our arrival day based on availability!! LOL) This year, staying at Wilderness Lodge, I just might have to change that

An onsite restaurant on day of arrival? No way! We head to either Giordano's or Uno's for some good Chicago-style Deep Dish Pizza!

We normally get to WDW around 1 so I don't get park tickets for that day. Its tradition to have an early dinner at Planet Hollywood. The atmosphere and memorabilia is what we love the most!

On our last few visits, our first stop has been to the Cabana Bar at the Dolphin for lunch. I don't know that it would work with the littles, though. Where are you staying? It might be best to grab a bite as soon as you check in to the hotel; I know we're usually pretty hungry when we arrive at that time of day. If you all can hold off and you'll have park tickets, maybe head to the Magic Kingdom for a bite. I think the Magic Kingdom is the best way to begin a Disney World vacation. Probably even more so with small children.

To be honest it depends how hungry we are.We usually get to our resort around 4.00pm so we unpack and head to the food court to pick up our refillable mugs and just have something there.Pasta,Burgers,fried chicken,etc.If however we end up at MK ( our first park upon arrival ) we try for CHH first opposite HM or Peco Bills or Cosmic Rays.If you time it right at Cosmic Rays then your grand children will love Sonny Eclipse whilst their having something to eat..Also at Cosmic they have plenty of variety for the little ones.

Welcome that's not counting (Ha Ha) hours are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The restaurant at the resort we are staying at is always our first night dinner! POR in 15 days, our first meal is Boatwright's at 7:05pm.....not that im counting down or anything.

We typically don't do park tickets the day of our arrival, so we either do a resort or Downtown Disney. In June we'll be eating at O'hana the evening of our arrival, followed by an evening on the beach watching Wishes (which I highly recommend if you can get a reservation!)

T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe, LTT, or CP is usually what we do. Although looking at a previous post about eating at the resort at POR when they arrive.....that sounds like a great idea. That actually has really never crossed my mind because I'm usually one to get the room and then head to a park.

When we arrive at the World, we usually go to the parks right away and make the MK our first park visit. So we head straight away to Fronteirland in the back and eat at Pecos Bill to eat a nice sandwhich or burger. I like it enough so that would have to be my favorite day of arrival restaurant.

We never have park tickets for our arrival day so we plan a dinner at chef mickeys. It's awesome because you get to meet the characters, it's a great way to start your vacation!
