Hey everyone. I was reading the mission space post and it made me remember how dumb people are. And how mean they can be.
Just curious - what have the Mission:Space threads got to do with peoples stupidity and meanness ???

Sheesh. I had a guy nearly punch me less than a year ago on that same attraction because I “cut in front of him” as I passed from the fast pass area to where the two lines merge. Never mind that a cast member had stopped him from continuing forward, that I had handed something to her and that I and my group walked right on by in obvious plain sight of the cast member… He called me a few choice names and threatened to kick my donkey in front of his entire family (wife, young kids, grandparents of someone). I managed to blurt out why we were allowed through before the cast member got involved. He ended up behind me in line the rest of the way… I knew he must have felt like a… donkey after he realized what was going on so I tried to be nice and explain how fast pass worked in a very nice way and his wife jumped at me telling me to leave them the hell alone “it was a mistake! Get over it!”… I just said I was trying to let them know what it was and how it worked so they could use it as well if they chose and she said “thank you in the same tone that she had yelled at me before… Heck, I was the one he was about to attack and when I tried to be nice about, she was all ready to jump on me. Some people…

Last fall on a very light night in the Magic Kingdom. I was working PAC (Parade Audience Control) in front of the castle. This woman and her 5 kids were standing buy one of the two tree planters on the castle side of the parade route. As the night progressed there was hardly a crowd at all like only 2 ppl deep. So as custom we make everyone sit right b/f the parade comes so that everyone can see. I politely asked her to sit down and she refused. So I got another cast member to ask her and she still refused. Well it was getting close to parade time and she proceded to put all 5 kids into the tree planter so they could see the parade. I went over and asked them to get out of the planter and she once again refused. Another CM came up and backed me up saying that they needed to get out of the planter. She bluntly said no. I asked for the third time to get them out of the planter. She proceded to get VERY nasty saying that she paid to get in a she will do what she wanted to do and that I OWED it to her. Well I just walked away and went call security and my managers on the liberty square bridge. When they got there she started saying that I told her that she could put her children in the planter and so on. She then she started to say that I was extremely rude to her and that she wanted me fired immediately. My manager started to try to calm her down and get her to take her children out of the planter. She then started to yell that she wanted to see my mangers even thought she yelled at them already. My manager proceded to ask me what I wanted to do and I said that I didnt want them in the park. So her kids and her were thrown out and there tickets revolked. She was def. my roughest guest to deal with and the only one I had thrown out.

From The Files Of Police Squad!

On my last trip to WDW back in July 2000, Both my GF and I witnessed and videotaped a woman in her late teens-early 20's haul off and punch an older(early-mid 50s) CM for no reason. My GF and I ran up to the CM to see if she was alright and stayed with her till her manager and security came over.

The three of us were escorted to the security office, where the officer took a statement from the CM and us and we showed him the tape. Within 20 mins, they found the woman(who was caught shoplifting,no less) and brought her in. They had us and the CM ID her and she was promptly escorted off the site and arrested.

What bothered me about this was the fact that a CM, who hadnt provoked anything with this woman, ends up getting laid out for no reason..It makes me wonder where our society is going sometimes when stuff like this happends.

Scary; people like that can master the art of reproduction, yet don't have common sense to hand down to their children. We all have family members ya gotta wonder about.........:hammer:
Like a cousin who calls and asks if it's the alcohol or peroxide you put on baby's circumcision? "Oh, that's why he cried"
Sorry 'bout the thread drift, but the topic brought back memories.

This past July, my BF and I were at MK and decided to go to Tom Sawyer Island. And there was this family with I think two girls. The girls were maybe 9 & 11. Well, the parents were just casually walking and the girls were running everywhere. I forget where it is...but there's a spot where there's some trees then some rocks under them. (I think it's near the teeter-totter thingy). Well, the girls were climbing everything too. And they decided to climb to trees. The parents were kind of watching them. And jokingly told them to get down (they said this as they were laughing). My boyfriend made the remark to me that one of them was bound to fall. There wasn't a CM anyhwhere near. We were walking away, and not even 2 minutes after we walked away, we heard a loud crunch time sound and then crying. One of the girls fell. That's when the parents seemed to care about the kid. She was crying so loud. So, I found a CM and told them that she fell. They carried her to a raft and off the island. We later saw her, and she was perfecly fine, running again.

It's really annoying to see parents let their kids do whatever they want! I sure know that I was NEVER running around or anything when we went as youngins :p But we still had TONS of fun!

I am always amazed and shocked at the parents who are yelling at their kids. Many times i have heard parents yelling and telling their kids how much money they have spent and that they are ruining the family vacation for one reason or another.

I tell ya....When you're childless like my GF and I are right now, you become the perfect parents. Case in point: I see these people who drag their kids around amusement parks, griping about the cost and hassle and wonder why these kids act out like they do.

Careful, snapper. "Representation by an advocate", "tort" and "trial by jury of peers" all began in merry old England. We yanks just took it to excess by about the twentieth power!

We CM's get things like this happening to us all too frequently... and 99% of the time, it's over some stupid inconsequential thing. *sigh*

I was at Disneyland six years ago (before I had kids), and my wife and I saw FIVE different children get spanked (some VERY hard) by parents. And clearly the parents were just frustrated, angry, or tired. (the kids too!)

When you have millions and millions of people come through your gates in a year, you're going to have some bad apples. At the same time, however, you notice these sorts of people because they're the exception, not the rule. If you watch EVERYONE at a place like Disney, you'll notice that the overwhelming majority are just there having a good time, follow the rules, and aren't idiots.

I was just at WDW and I saw a little girl on the other side
of the fence on the grass running after a duck the duck turn
around and bite the little girl and the Father then said iam going
to sue Disney for the bite. I told the father that it was his
fault for puting the little girl on the other side of the fence.
Talk about dumb.

not really.... every a$$hole I've ever had to deal with was American. The south american tourgroups, although annoying, are harmless.

Lets see what has happened to me... I've been punched in the face by a guest... who spent that evening locked up.

I'm not afraid to have a guest thrown out, nor am I afraid to press charges. I don't care if it ruins their vacation... they ruined my face.
