I really don't want to vote on this one since I have only been on Anaheim and Orlando's. But going off of YoutBue videos, Paris' version seems like the obvious winner here. Tokyo's is essentially a clone of DL's original version at it's core and HK's is nearly identical to the redone '05 version at DL.

I've ridden California, Orlando, and Paris. I know that it's a little rough, but my favorite was Paris. The launch is amazing, and the effects make it feel even faster than it is. I loved it! I rode Mission 2, not the original, unfortunately, It was still a stunner, though.

Very good comparing! I never even thought of that personally! You are very good at comparing the Space Mountains!

I would say WDW. One, it has a unique twin track layout, its the one that started them all and its the one SM with any sort of airtime drops in the layout. DL along with Tokyo and Hong Kong is mainly all right turns, and no air time drops like at MK. Paris is a Vekoma that didn't age well(not as rough as it used to be) that lost its charm once it lost the flight to the Moon theme. Just wish Disney would add audio to the trains instead of sporadic speakers at WDW and run a Ghost Galaxy overlay during MNSSHP.

I agree. Disneyland's, and essentially Tokyo and Hong Kong's for that matter, is very overrated. It basically goes in a big circle over and over again save for 1 single little drop and the very last turn. The Magic Kingdom's is definitely more fun and interesting in terms of track layout and design, even though it is basically an updated, indoor Matterhorn for all intents and purposes.

I finally pulled the trigger on voting for this poll and went with the MK's Space Mountain!

Ugh people voting for Orlando again...man oh man I think some people on this board seriously never go anywhere but WDW...ANY version is better than Orlandos...
Tell me about it!
i knew it was a bad decison to do it on a biased Orlando forum. people, actaully at least look at the others and don’t vote ORLANDO right away for every single thing!

Is this really a question???

Jules Verne, please. Paris has the best themed Space Mountain and is the only true "Disney" experience of the 5. The initial launch makes it a very fun ride. Details, Details, Details......good enough to be inside Disney Sea.

The worst one is, of course, the original in Magic Kingdom....way too damn bumpy and uncomfortable(((aka Matterhorn in space))) and NO ONBOARD SOUND!!!
How anybody can vote for it as the best and be honest about it is beyond comprehension.

We need Bill Mahr to lay down a new rule.
New Rule: if you have no understanding of the candidates, then you are ineligible to vote.

Anaheim (Hong Kong's is identical but the queue is pathetic). I would have voted for Paris but not in its current Hyperspace Mountain neutered state. What a fail of an overlay.

I agree Hyperspace Mountain in Paris isn't nearly as good as the original Jules Verne flight to the Moon theme. The new restraints and refurb did make it a little less rough...its still a Vekoma. They aren't known to age gracefully. I agree WDW does need a complete track refurb but the layout is WAY more interesting then all right hand turns, small drop, left hand turn into tunnel then its over versions at DL, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

I voted for Orlando because it is the original but if I could vote twice I would also pick Paris just because I love the way it looks and the ride set up is nice too. Hope to ride it some day!

On-board audio is overrated in my opinion. When Disneyland added it back in '95, I was not a fan. Still am not a fan to this day. And Disneyland's Space Mtn is now almost always the half-a&$#@ Hyperspace version now. I absolutely love Star Wars, but man is that overlay just done on the cheap and not that good. It was a nice change to be able to do the regular version this past winter, but Disneyland just switched it back to Hyperspace ((SIGH))

I still voted for Orlando's Space Mountain over Anaheim's. And no, I am not biased LOL I grew up in southern California and have been on Disneyland's probably 300 times by now and rode it many times well before I got to ride Disneyworld's. I stated it before, but the biggest reasons I prefer the Magic Kingdom's over Disneyland's is because of the exterior mountain, incredible queue and music, the lack of on-board speakers (hate 'em), the overall scope and size of the mountain and the track layout is more fun and interesting than it is in Anaheim. All of those reasons helped me vote for Orlando on this poll.

I would have probably voted for Paris if I had actually ridden on it. That older Jules Verne version always looked incredible!

Orlando has the most potential
Great!

So now all we need is something to happen ala Tiki Room and maybe they'll actually do something worthwhile to the original Space Mountain.

Don't get me wrong, I like the layout of WDWs better than Hong Kong,Tokyo, or Anaheim's, but it's just sooooo rough and the effects on the ride are a joke.

I truly hope WDW refurbs the ride sometime soon....
