Just to clear up a few things...
If the prize winner for the castle chooses not to accept it, they go back to the computer and get a new location. They will try this a few times till time runs out. One day, it took 3 tries to get someone to accept the castle.
Hypothetical situation: You are flying out that day and tomorrow, early, you have to go to a very important meeting for work, take your child to college for their first day, must fly to Paris for serious negotiations for work, etc., etc. It would stink, but there are situations where you have to say no.
If your party is large, yes, you can bring people up to see the suite. A family of 9 won. Only 6 could stay in the suite. I didn't agree with their choice of who stayed and who went back to the hotel, but that is their decision. None the less, the dream squad did a lot of extra things for the people that couldn't stay in the suite. One kid received a signed basketball. They all went on a tour of the suite. They people that didn't stay got to ride in the parade. They were treated like royalty.
If you want a tour of the suite and you are a cast member, you need to find a guest relations CM that has access to the room and ask for a tour. However, it has to be done before a certain time. There is a small window of opportunity to see it after it has been prepared and before it is seen by the winners.
Anyone can and has won...families, solo travelers, college kids, honeymoon couples.
Gorjus, who still hasn't seen the Castle Suite, but has been in the elevator and has hung out with Cinderella.
