What goes on in the old Image Works?

Oh yeah of course. Im talking mold that is unsafe to be arround. For instance black mold is a health hazard. Black mold is everywhere mostly in little dots but when it bets to be giant patches it just takes over. They really need to remove that mold or they are going to have trouble. My house had a mold problum and it took forever to find it. I always smelt it the worse when my house was unocupied for more than a week because my mom tryed to hide it. Finally when we ripped out our old kitchen we found it but being hid behind the counters we couldnt tell where it was coming from. There were huge chunks of it and it took over all the insulation and sheetrock. Not to mention getting the new cabinets were delayed since we had to remove all of it. It was under the bathroom of course. Mold is ok but when its black and you smell it strong theres a problum. Disney is infested with mildew, Imagination I would imagine would be pretty bad.

Those little dots are what is there and it's definately mold. I've cleaned plenty of showers to know the difference between mildew and mold. And one reason the upstairs Imageworks could be closed to the public, once again, is due to mold. Haven't really went looking for it there but nor do I want to. And like I said before, the shop in Canada was closed for that reason.

It's unfortunate that mold has overtaken both of those areas. I for one would love to see WDW do something with the shop in Canada. The presence of mold just adds another challenge to any such plans.....

If they dont they really should dehumidify the buildings, at least the ones that are at most risks. Imagination is a must do to those windows.

I imagine it smells horrible up there. Black mold smell is nauseating and unforgettable. As much as I love the old Image Works, I bet if it was up and running I wouldn't last ling up there.

Last time I went up there it didn't particularly smell bad. There was dust everywhere, but other than that, it was fine. It is really sad to go up there nowadays and look at what that place has become. I really hope that when JIIv4 happens, the Upstairs Imageworks will be used in the re purposed plans.

Dehumidify in buildings where the doors are constantly being opened...in Florida? I don't think there is any system that could handle that.

Its funny if you're not sensitive to mold you dont smell it as much but if your like me you would be begging for mercy LOL. I am highly allergenic LOL. It's only been 10 years and sadly we are all hoping for Journey into your Imagination 4. I have a feeling if they do anything they will only replace the lab, put one of the 5 stage sets from the carousel at the beginning and replace Dr.N with Dreamfinder. I dont think there will be any image works ever again, at least the title will be different.

Please excuse my mental absence LOL. Thinking back I remember walking out the front door in florida and having that humidity slap me in the face LOL.

I was up there and sat in the lined-up chairs area a few years back for an educational function. For me it was cool, as I knew I was in the old Imageworks and wasn't really listening to the speaker but looking around at all the closed exhibits. But from overhearing the other people in the group, they were pretty unimpressed at being given a speech in a dark, dusty, broken down area.

It seems like someone needs to put up a curtain LOL.
