What famous person could narrate Spaceship Earth as well as Jeremy Irons?

If they want to stick with a British accent, and we pick people who would realistically do it:

  • Stephen Fry
  • Patrick Stewart
  • David Tennant (with 'real' voice not Dr Who voice)
  • Sean Bean (bonus - he'll be contractually obligated to mention Yorkshire Tea)
  • Helen Mirren
  • Michael Gambon
  • Joanna Lumley

Tell me it wouldn't be entertaining to hear Christopher Walken narrating SSE...
Well, ya see, like a... grand and miraculous spaceship, our planet, it's been sailin'... through the universe of time. And for a... brief moment, we, uh, we've been among its many... passengers.

It’s interesting how few women have been suggested. I wonder if one of the reasons people seem not to like Dame Judy’s narration as much as her predecessors’ is the preference for male voices in these kinds of roles.
