In WDW, I'd love to see the old Monster Sound Show starring Martin Short and Chevy Chase! :D

In Disneyland, I'ld love to see Rocket Rods come back! :D

Urban legend (not the death, but the reason) http://www.snopes.com/disney/parks/skyway.htm

all of these items were factors, but the biggest i have heard many times is eisner didnt want to spend the money on the OLD computer system that ran skyway to make it y2k compatiable. i doubt it closing more than 6 months after a cm's death is the big cause, but kinda odd that it closed less than 2 months before 2000 rolled around.

None. Everything except for Horizons closed for a reason: popularity. Horizons is the only attraction that can claim differently.

Why would you ever bring back an attraction that was closed because it wasn't popular in the first place?

I wish Horizons was still around, but I thought it did have popularity issues (I understand that the gutting due to structural problems was unanticipated). I remember walking onto Horizons quite a few times on days when EPCOT was far from empty. Also, wasn't AE mostly shut down due to complaints about its intensity/scariness? I didn't know it wasn't popular. Also, wasn't one of the issues with 20,000 Leagues water clarity? I understand its popularity may have waned some over the years, but lack of guest appeal wasn't the only thing that contributed to its demise. Finally, was Mr. Toad's appreciably less popular than the other Fantasyland fare of the same age? I've never seen hard data, but it never seemed that way to me. Also, although it was never the most popular of attractions, "If You Had Wings" was shuttered because Eastern Airlines withdrew its sponsorship.

Definately a tight one for me...Horizons and Mr Toad are both incredibly important parts of my childhood at Disney. I miss them both.

Cheers,
Josh
