What ever happened with the Tigger attack?

Clearly you haven't read much of what was posted. The general belief was that Tigger's "friend" was either defending himself or his character's integrity or was pulled off-balance and accidentally hit the boy. Either scenario demonstrates anything remotely "unacceptable" in my view.

Your real name wouldn't 'happen' to be Jerry, would it?
As in Springer....:lookaroun

Clearly, that's what the cast member playing Tigger thought too. I really can't imagine a scenario where it would be acceptable for a cast member playing a character would get physical with a guest. Regardless of who was "provoked" as they brought up in the video, the bottom line is that it's unacceptable for a cast member to behave with violence. Clearly, that cast member was in the wrong job.

The cast member was trying to block the kids arm from going any further, because he tried to pull down his zipper.

If it was an accident, that's altogether different. If it was intentional on the part of the cast member, then it's unacceptable. Was the cast member hurt at all in the incident? The kid didn't seem to be any type of threat against which the cast member would need to "defend" himself.

No my name is not Jerry.

I never heard specifically, but depending on what the kid was pulling on behind Tigger's back, it could have been causing pain to the CM, either pulling the "shroud" tight around his throat, or twisting the headpiece which would have been secured tightly.
Or more likely, the kid was fiddling with a zipper, and in Tigger's attempt to twist away while pushing the kid's arm away, the kid got whacked.

It also wasn't reported until a day or two later, wasn't mentioned at all at the time of the incident. The father didn't know until he was reviewing the video footage he'd shot.

Here's my own presumption on how it broke down:
In the park, the kid was fooling around, got smacked (intentionally or unintentionally). Dad doesn't notice at the time, son doesn't say anything because he knows he got caught being a punk by Tigger.

Later that night, when Dad notices the "smack" on the video, he asks his son "Why did he do that?"
Son, not wanting to get in trouble with Dad, says "I don't know. He just hauled back and hit me."
Dad, taking his son's word for it (because why on EARTH would his son lie about something like THAT?), sees it as unprovoked attack, complains to Disney and calls all the news stations immediately.

And of course, once the media gets involved, the son has to keep playing along, even thought it's gone WAY beyond what he thought it would, just because he didn't want to get in trouble with his Dad for being a punk...

That would back up the story that I heard as well that it restricts breathing when it's pulled a certain way. These were just your typical dwellers looking for a quick buck along with the dirt-bag ambulance chaser they hired. My theory is that this whole thing was a set up from the get go. Don't know if people have seen the whole tape with the audio or not but here's the best source I could find of it.

The only thing 'Tigger' should have been questioned on is why didn't you catch the timewaster with a Right uppercut after the left!!:ROFLOL:

In the original thread from when the incident happened it stated that the kid was reaching to unzip Tigger's outfit and the reaction was that Tigger was moving to prevent it from happening and the kid got in the way! Also, the CM was not fired and continued to work there and was actually promoted later on. Good for him!!!

That's a pretty elaborate and detailed "presumption".

Taking the kids motives, ethics, morals, etc out of the equation, it doesn't change the fact that a Disney CM, especially one portraying a character, should behave professionally around guests. If it was an accident, that's one thing. If it was intentional, however much in the "wrong" the kid might have been, that's unacceptable in my opinion.

I also heard( good source) his air supply had been blocked by the downward pulling action so he was being choked...he just turns to release the grip of the kid and regain his lost balance when tiggers' paw brushes his face in the midst of the turn because of the close proximity of the two...That and consider the friend couldn't see being his head was pulled up probably contributed to the way this video appears...

Ziffel, why are you having such a hard time understanding that the character was the one that was wronged, not the guest?

It is very hard to see out those suits and from the angle of the "ATTACK" Tigger wasn't necessarily aiming for the kid per se, but merely defending himself against an unseen force.

No, it was not intentional. I can tell you that right now

That seems a little difficult to believe. Sounds made up. On what are you basing this claim? Was that reported somewhere in the news?

It would not be reported in the news (character integrity is very important at Disney). But I could see him being promoted (I know Tigger's friend, and he is a great guy and a hard worker).

That kid was obviously attempting to pull a prank and hurting Tigger. To bad Disney didn't ban him and his money grubbing dad and attorney for LIFE. People like this have no business ruining the experience for others, his father should be embarrassed and ashamed, we would have punished our child if they'd done that, not called an attorney and had a press conference. All that dad saw was dollar signs and I hope it bit him in the hiney when he paid that ambulance chasing attorney for nothing. :D
