Things seem to be going along..."fine"...

I wouldn't like to see it... :lookaroun :(

Look for pavilions to start going down within the next year for major rehab. Discoveryland opens in 2007. :(

I'd like to see some dark rides that are the quality of the HM and POTC... maybe some new kiosks in the pavillions that are more up to date. Maybe a pavillion about WDI. Last but not least an over all cleaning and polishing!!!

Desipte Grizz's sources - and i'd love to know where they are because i hear something a bit different from people i know with connections - There is absolutley nothing official whatsoever from WDW, WDI or any Disney official on this. Nothing official has been announced, everything is pure speculation at this point.

Most of those 'in the know' have head that something is up and that a transition to Discoveryland is likely. As for the extent of changes? Its anyone's guess, really. Will it be something as drastic as the proposals presented on Jim Hill's site? Doubtful. Could it be something as simple as a lot of trees and installing 'Soaring' at Epcot? Possibly. Will they mess with SE? I hope not.

All i'm saying is that nobody knows all what will happen, but we know SOMETHING will happen.

External sources, such as wesh.com, have reported things concerning Spaceship Earth using screen technology (closing in February, 2005).

"SSE: Time Racers" and "Discoveryland" have furthermore become trademarked names by the Walt Disney Company.

Those are the two main "official" public information bits...but there is a *lot* going on backstage - stuff that has always leaked out, and may be still holding true.

There was a rumor that Horizons would close. Same with Timekeeper...and CoP for years. And there have been rumors that have proven false (or at least have been put on hiatus).

But we KNOW Project Gemini exists. The only unofficial thing is the extent.

While it's true nothing has been officially announced, there is a lot of info floating around Disney internally about the plans for Epcot. I can certainly say that the info here http://www.wdwmagic.com/project_gemini.htm is solid.

Steve, i'm not doubting your information, i'm just trying to remind peopel that nothing official has been announced.

Yes, there are a lot of crazy rumors out there and you do a fantastic job of weeding out the wheat from the chaff. None of us truly know the extent of the proposals beyond the SE rehab, Soarin being installed and ... well whatever that 3rd thing is. I'm saying that it might not go beyond all that....

However, i am in favor of some more trees. I dont like all the concrete.

It is also possiable that the info that has been "leaked out" was done so on purpose... to see how the public would take it...

Rather than closing rides, I'd rather see an extension... Maybe a small update to some of the rides, but I'd go to Animal Kingdom if I want to see flowers and trees.

Also, I'd rather a "Sorin' over Disney"- That would be awsome...

About Soarin', I dunno, it would kinda seem like Skyway in that it violates "Show" (a key to the kingdom which 'prohibits' show of backstage), ya know? :veryconfu

Yeah... thats what I was thinking... I doubt it will be "Soarin' over Disney" unless they found a way to either edit that stuff out, or just to stay away from backstage...

Anyways, it'll probably be cool no matter what they do! I'm guessing it will be a "Soarin' through America" or something like that, but maybe we could Soar through re-animated Disney lands.. Neverland, etc...

Knowing that it will be with the Land (or, unofficially knowing ;) ), it will most likely deal with the entire nation - or world for that matter.

I would hope they go over orange groves and release the loranges smell!

(wishful thinking, GrizzlyHall... )
