Okay, the time for whining is over. It is time we did something about this. Everytime a thread speaks of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride it seems to be with reverence. How about trying to have Disney develope a new Mr.Toad's Wild Ride. They have a Roger Rabbit ride in Disneyland. How about an updated, dark, wilder, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Send forth the word.
Talk to 20 random kids that have not been to DL and ask them who Mr. Toad is. You will quickly learn why Disney closed Mr Toad at WDW and why it will never return. No one, save for us obsessed Disney fans, knows who he is. Now if Disney decides to remake the cartoons and breath new life into the franchise it would be a different story but I do not see that happening either.

We Have Both Rides At Disneyland. Mr. Toads Wild Ride, And The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh.

We had to Lose The Country Bear Jamboree to put in the Pooh ride, however if you look over your shoulder while traveling through the Pooh ride you will see the Moose, Deer & Buffalo Heads mounted above the backside of the archway as the ride vehicle passes through.

Mr. Toad Always has about a 25-40 minute wait, while Pooh is ALWAYS only 5 minutes.... Establishing Toad as the popular winner!

Besides J. Thaddeous Toad is an accentric entrepreneur and hopeless adventurer suffering from a delusional case of motormania.....traveling no place in paticular.

Besides the ride was one of Walt's Favorites!

I just found out something interesting.

Mr. Toad was originally conceived as a mini-coaster. I wonder how that would have affected its popularity.

It would be cool if they made like that if they ever decide to bring the ride back to WDW. :)

I do like how Disney frequently gives a nod to the former attractions which inhabited their space.

For example, Mr. Toad is present in the Pooh ride, hading over the deed to Winnie. Makes for interesting history.

It was too similar to driving on I-95 in South Florida, and too many people complained that it wasn't thrilling enough...:fork:

Hahaha!...I thought it was themed after I-4!!

--I just never liked the ending of it...never really magical when the ending is your Dead and in the Underworld!:fork:
