What ever came of the Electrical Parade

Look I understand that there are nighttime parades. I was specifically referring to how those two attractions are about a spectacle of incandescent electric Christmas lights. I had forgotten about the Electric Water Parade tho.

Hate to break this to you, but Osborn Lights weren't incandescent.

But, since you seem to only want your evening light shows to come in the form of small, stringed lights, I forgot about another light show: Frozen lights on Cinderella Castle.

Maybe everybody in this thread needed to be more specific. We want a new LIGHT parade, not just a night parade.

We shouldn't have to wait until the 50th simply because TDO let Spectro rot.
Just wait for it, they will have a second admition lights party where they will have a light parade designated to that.

Do you have any reason to believe, at this point, that Disney has any plans to bring back MSEP on either coast in the foreseeable future?
Personally? No. But never say never as we’ve found out particularly with this parade.

The new light parade will feature hundreds of screens, each displaying video of lights.

Paint the Night #confirmed

Maybe a strand of lights were out because of one bulb and they are now checking every light...:cautious:

Disney probably found the lights to be obsolete technology, like the old Lights of Winter from Epcot. Since there's no possible modern replacement for arches covered in lights. Ya know, Christmas lights are a rare commodity these days.

DL gets more attention and action regarding ANY TYPE of new parade! They celebrate the release of animation with parades like COCO, but WDW gets nothing! :-( I guess that's the perk of being right around the corner from the Disney Studios! STILL NOT FAIR! ;)

Well WDW used to celebrate a new release with a parade at DHS starting with Toy Story up till the Mulan parade.

I would love an updated version of it to come out. But please no spectromagic again. That was just too cheesy and not nearly as fun music wise.
I have to say I found the music for spectro to be much better than MSEP. I know when I first say MSEP in the 70's I thought it was the coolest ever because analog synths were still relatively new and sounded so cool... But honestly music has moved on and listening to them now has a little nostalgia value but it really is kind of like watching a silent film - seem a little cool a few minutes but gets old quick. The last time I pulled out my old record of MSEP I didn't even get through the whole song before it just seemed a bit boring. Spectro on the other hand is a much more rounded work that I could listen to over and over. In fact I could probably use it as background music while I worked and not get tired of it by the end of the day, not something I could ever do with MSEP.

Visually, they are probably tied... bits of both are good visually in a perfect world I would hope they might combine the visuals of both and get Debney to write them new music in the same style as spectro.

Not to mention the background noises for the floats can be heard in some of Spectromagic's soundtrack. Which is what I also love.

To each their own. MSEP is still my ringtone. I liked it that much. Maybe it's because I grew up with it. Saw it on my honeymoon and all that but it was and is still a ton of fun to listen to :)

I'll disagree about visually too but I like bright happy colors. Spectro was too bright/white in many cases and visually my eyes tired of it. Darn it if I didn't have friends who loved it a ton though and I was stuck watching it more than I cared to.
