As the title says what do you think each park needs? As in a new E-ticket, restraunt, etc. For me it is:
MK-A new E-ticket roller coaster because to me SM and BTMRR are fun but are a little too tame
Epcot-A water ride wouldn't be bad and something to replace HISTA and WoL
MGM-BIG HELP.Don't get me wrong I love ToT and RcRC but outside of that there isn't all that much to do. This park nowadays remind exactly like Epcot before TT,M:S, and Soarin'. I think it needs 2-3 new E-tickets or quality type and a BIG update on Star Tours and GMR and the backlots time has passed.
AK-1-2 more Table Service Restraunts(non buffet or Character). Take down Dino-Rama(sorry I'm just not a fan) and put a tame mild coaster themed to a dig site. And Beastly Kingdom:D (Hey I can dream)

Now all this is just me and my opinion but what do YOU think needs to be added to WDW asap.

A soul for MGM, which has no cohesive direction.
A heart for Epcot, as it lacks warmth without the real Figment.
A brain for MK, for nothing done there lately makes any sense.
A foot for AK, to kick the next project into motion.

Couldn't have said it any better I agree 100%.

MAGIC KINGDOM: What were they thinking with that stooopid Poo playground! :zipit: The DL version (nemo) of 2K Leagues would have been great.

MGM
: The early premise (REAL studio/production); why did they ever get away from that? Not enough e-ticket rides (my old county fair was bigger than MGM) that are based off of the movies (at the risk of being ridiculed, HP would have fit in nicely).

EPCOT: Ah EPCOT...IMHO the most misunderstood park. They need to get away from the 80s interpretation of the future. A true dark thrill ride inside SE would be great. More rides (what ever happened to the "robotic arm" coaster idea) in the World Showcase.

AK: The "nattazoo" emphasis should be expanded.

Overall, if they would just have the "passion" they once did -- the type still demonstrated at Tokyo Disney (I live in Japan). That park is simply breathtaking. NO DETAIL was left out. On that note, Journey to the Center of the Earth and the whole Ariel scheme would work great at MGM.

Magic Kingdom... a couple more dark rides much like the classic Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, etc... A new day-time parade... Although it will never happen, I'd love to see something like 20,000 Leaugues Under The Sea again, maybe based on Nemo (the one in Disneyland) or Mermaid. The only thing MK desperately needs is a Tomorrowland makeover. It just needs to look and feel more futuristic.

Epcot... It's getting what it needs: a Spaceship Earth refurb. and the removal of the wand. Other than that, I think everything in Epcot is good as is. The countries are perfect, Soarin', Test Track, and Mission: Space are all extremely popular. I'm just not happy with the Nemo ride, it could have been much better, but eh. I like Epcot except for that.

MGM... MGM was always my favorite park. I love the theme. But, it's just lost right now. Completely lost. Sure, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are popular, but MGM shouldn't have to make thrill rides to up its popularity. It HAS to keep Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic, Great Movie Ride, and Muppet Vision. Shows are what MGM's all about. In fact, they should add more stage shows. I was REALLY bummed when Hunchback closed. They should get a Disney film and turn it into a short stage show, the length of VOTLM and BATB, and only include the main storyline and songs. Hunchback... Aladdin... Hercules... Mulan. The only thing Aladdin has is a magic carpet ride in MK, which isn't even Aladdin, really. Hunchback, Hercules, and Mulan are all amazing films and they have nothing. Also, The Animation tour should be made more interesting. Toy Story Mania should be awesome, but taking away Who Wants To Be A Millionare was a big mistake. MGM should have more audience-interactive shows/games, much like Millionaire and SuperStar Television, only with new shows. The Backlot Tour concept should stay, but it needs a MAJOR refurb. with all new and much more popular movies. Get rid of Making of Narnia and make it a making of: POTC... or making of Pixar films. Something more popular than Narnia. MGM just needs to LIVEN UP, stick to stage shows and attractions focusing on Disney's best films, and the behind the scences concept.

Animal Kingdom... doesn't need much. The park really focuses on its theme: animals, and that's all it needs. It's got popular attractions, like Everest, Festival of the Lion King, Nemo Musical. Nothing is out of place. The only thing I feel it needs is, as the OP stated, more sit-down restaurants.

That's my input.

I think that they need to start appealing more to the teen/young adult crowd. I love it and I am 23 but it could use some more thrill rides.

MK: I think they need a new roller coaster. Also, they need a new show for the Galaxy theater. They need some new rides everywhere. Each land should get a new ride. The classics should stay because they are fun to go to but they need some new stuff. Philharmagic is a great addition!

MGM: I agree that it needs some new shows. They need an aladdin show or a movie variety show. I loved the Disney Mania show on the castle stage in MK and would like to see another show like that. They could update Backlot tour and make it a little more exciting and maybe open up the sound stages so we could see something filming...

Epcot: I think they need to add a new country. They have room where the millenium village used to be. They need more rides in WS besides Malestrom and El Rio del Tiemp. Get rid of the movies or have a ride and then a show like Norway has. I also loved going to the Wonders of Life Pav. Why did that close? I think it helped to teach kids about nutrition in a fun way. With the childhood obesity rate way up why would they want to close that pavillion?

AK: I think they just need more restaurants and rides. You can finish that park in 1/2 a day right now. It would be nice to spend more time there.

As a mom, it's not attractions I'd like to see more of. I'd love to see at least 1 more baby changing station at each park. I hate travelling across the parks (especially AK & EPCOT, which could take awhile to get to them) to get DS to one for a little break.

I'm 25 but I disagree. I am over the whole tween thing. The entire Disney channel is devoted to it the majority of the day as well!

If I wanted a whole bunch of thrill rides, I would visit Cedar Point. I love the intricacies and theming of WDW and I prefer it to remain focused in staying that way. We have a Carowinds (Paramount) near us, and it's fun for a few hours once in a while, but the hollow (no pun) thrill coasters just remind me of how amazing WDW is.

I would really like more permanent country representation at Epcot and totally agree that AK could use a table service restaurant or two.

New Ideas....

Here are a couple of ideas that I think would greatly enhance each park and solve some theming issues that we have seen the last couple of years. This will be a 4 part post…. PART 1 of 4

MK: First of all there needs to be more dark rides in fantasyland. This may include the little mermaid ride and possibly a Beauty and the beast. Imagine riding through the ballroom... Adventureland needs to be gutted. I have no problem seeing this area become more pirate themed, replacing the tree house with the ship, tweaking jungle cruise a little, removing the carpets, adding a pirate restaurant, ect... Finally, the most drastic change would come to tomorrowland. We would begin by removing MILF and SGE and transferring them to DISNEY/pixar Studios (More on that later). Keep Buzz in its place because you already have a similar ride in with Toy Story Mania. Completely gut SM and install a new coaster. Remove the Indy cars. Now use this newly found space to truly create some futuristic inspired attractions. (If you have any suggestions with this space I would like to hear them, NO YESTERLAND ATTRACTIONS….AE)

EPCOT: With the wand coming down I would like to see the entrance reconditioned to its original look. I saw the post card picture on the wand thread and that should be there inspiration. Including replacing some of the overgrown trees on the perimeter. This truly makes you feel you are entering a unique location. I have no issue with the removal of Horizons and WoM, and the new rides are acceptable. There needs to be something done with the WoL pavilion, and the Energy ride. The WoL pavilion is completely out of place and messes with the symmetry; therefore it should be completely removed. My suggestion would be to install a rollercoaster with an energy theme in this area since EPCOT doesn’t have one. Future world NEEDS rides & more countries. Put a flume ride in Canada, Put a boat ride in Germany, Put a dark ride in france. Put a rollercoaster in Japan. DO SOMETHING with these countries.

AK: This park by far needs the least amount of work on its current structure, Keep everything where it is and add BEASTLY KINGDOM, this would solve current crowd distribution issues and really solidify the park as one of the best parks in the world along with DisneySea. The tin plated dinorama could use a (god forbid, I say this) Jurassic park like theming to compliment the Dinosaur ride. I know they are going with the tourist trap look, but it is still disheartening when you see the beauty of rest of the park.

MGM errrrrr. Disney Pixar Studios: First lets look at removing certain rides and themes… Get rid of the backlot tour, Narnia, Sounds Dangerous, the walkthrough, the little mermaid, the beauty show all the theming on the way to RRC & ToT, Streets of America, the empty lagoon and ridiculous ice cream ship the ABC Theater and Commissary. WOW, I really hate MGM studios….. If they can invest 1.2 billion into DCA let see the $$$ here where it is needed.

MY PLAN…. Five themes in clockwise order beginning with the main drag which I think should remain the same, I would possibly raise the hat another 30 feet into the air so it can truly stand out as the park icon. This would also allow people to see the front of the Chinese Theater. Now on to the left the 6:00-9:00 area. This entire area should become a Star Wars themed land to include restaurants, shops, shows and rides: One strong E-ticket to anchor the land, D-Tickets which would include ST2.0, and some C-tickets. How cool would it be to have some living characters (LCI) walking through the land. Moving to the upper left or the 9:00 to 11:00 area. Keep this as a muppets themed space. I am not a personal fan of the muppets and feel that Disney has buried this franchise into the ground, but I understand the love and I do see the potential. At the top of the park the 12:00 region I would keep the cars show. Now here is the fun part, Pixarland: Keep the Honey I shrunk the kids play area and retheme it to the BUGS LIFE play area, Install the MILF and SGE in this area add crushes coaster and radiator springs. I also have no problem installing a Indy car type ride in this area themed to cars. At the 3:00 region, middle right I would keep the play house Disney show and make this area for Small children with character areas and small shows. Finally my greatest idea and one that I have not seen on any thread, The area behind brown derby all the way to RRC and TOT should become the Disney villains area. Take out all the store fronts retheme to a villainous street add a little spookiness to the area add some dark rides and shows, the biggest thing would be to retheme RRC to a Haunted Coaster. ToT would fit nicely in this land and I think I am done….

Oh and they should do a 5th gate similar to DisneySea and add a 3rd Waterpark.

MK - I like it the way it is (maybe more thrill rides)
Epcot - more countries in the WS; more rides
MGM - better quality counter service restaurants
AK - more rides & interactive shows
