Just wondering what others miss the most after you have left Disney?

I know for me I still do disney all the way until I get on the plane.....I just have to hit the shops in the airport....it's my last attempt at getting my disney fix before I go home.

The thing I miss the most after I leave is that feeling I get when I walk into MK and start walking down mainstreet. That atmosphere, the smells, the view of the castle.....ok now I am sad....I want to be in disney now!:(

My money. :ROFLOL:

Seriously, seeing my DD face whenever we go to any of the parks. She just has a special look on her face tha she only gets from WDW.

It's also the atmosphere for me. Hard to describe. It's definately different when you stay on property. You miss the immersion of it all.

The music in the Magic Kingdom, the dole whips, the beautiful clean streets each morning, the rabbits and ducks everywhere, and my first character siting. I guess it really is the atmosphere at MK come to think of it. It's always been our favorite park.

It might sound a bit silly but I miss the feeling of safety that WDW gives me! It's almost like when you drive under that arch, nothing else matters except that you're there!

All the stresses and strains of home life just go away because there's nothing you can do about it so why worry?

I just love the place!!!:D

I think what I miss is the fact that when you're in Walt Disney World, you can talk to strangers. Especially when you're on Disney transportation.

If I try to talk to a stranger where I live, (Chicago area) a lot of times they just give me dirty looks like you're invading their personal space.

I'm a people person, so whenever possible, I try to talk to people I don't know just to be polite or if I'm lucky, to make a new friend. At home, it's getting harder and harder because you just don't know who to trust anymore. People think I want something or I'm out to get them when I try to strike up a conversation at home...but at Disney World, it's differant. People are more relaxed and let their guard down a little and are willing to open up a little more.

And for me, that's awesome!:sohappy:

Arriving.

Seeing the billboards, the Arches in particular. You know you've finally arrive and what awaits you past those arches is magical.

The Arches, I take a picture of them every time!

I miss being able to go through each day without any cares. No housework to do, no pets to take care of, no cooking, no errands. Just fun!

This may not make any sense, but I miss the sense of calm I have when I am at Disney. The outside world can't bother me and for a short period of time, it is just relaxing. It all plays into it - the sounds, smells, sights......

Well of course I miss just Disney!! But I also miss the busses and the music playing on them and when they take you back to your resort at night saying "Welcome Home" I can't wait to be back in December and again in March!!

I miss it all, everything said here so far & more. I miss the way that I feel while I am there the most. It is truly the most beautiful place in the world to me.

-I miss our arrival the most.
-Our first day at MK and first ride on POTC, HM, Space Mt, Splash, and BTMMR.
-The resort and room
-The day before we leave for WDW... its always the most exciting day of the year for me. I get last minute things, and pack up the rest of my stuff, order takeout, say goodbye to some family and friends, and TRY to sleep.
- The DME bus ride to the resort... Seeing the green road signs turning into the purple and black signs, we know we're on property!! The billboards for different rides are great too.
-The smells, atmosphere and feeling that I ONLY get when Im at WDW

I miss the care free, no worries attitude that Disney gives me whenever I'm there. Its kind of like a "safe place" where nothing bad happens.

Amen to that! The fact that you have no cares except what ride to get on next is the best feeling in the world. You put everything behind you and just relax and enjoy yourself. That's what I miss the most.
