Caught up! I love the sail away pics too! I have to say I was soooooooooooooo relieved when you said you were feeling better. I was so worried you were going to be sick!!

I love seeing what everyone was doing when we weren't together! :)

The Golden Mickeys are still my favorite show! That Tarzan should come with a warning... "may cause hot n' botheration" :geek:

I think that Enchanted Garden dinner was my favorite, too (well, except maybe for Palo), and Skyline is my favorite lounge. Spent plenty more time there when I went back in February. :D

That is an amazing shot of the chandelier. Just can't get enough of looking at that thing.

I love how you wrote, "family event...not something we wanted to do" HA! And then you went straight to the girly champagne bar. Spirit of the trip, right there! :inlove:

Came to read the update!!!! Very happy you felt better too! And I loved your oversized verandah!

I'm really going to miss the verandah again for our Norway cruise, but for the huge price difference from inside to verandah I'll just spend more time on the deck! LOL.

I really liked the Skyline lounge too, next time i go back on the Dream I want to go back in there...it was just so cool how the skylines change! I looooooved that soup at Enchanted Garden..........can i have some now??? even though it's really hot out it would be really nice during this super rainy day!!!!!

Can't wait to read more of your report! Want to read about your adventures on Nassau day! <3

Woohoo!!! Character in the wild!! I'll be back to catch up! :)

I knew you would love the Character in the wild!

Ah, yes. Tarzan. *sigh*

I just hope Tarzan is on the Fantasy in January! I know both my bestie and I will be drooling. LOL.

Thankfully, the seasickness went away just as quick as it arrived.

A lot of hot n' botheration! Enchanted Garden was not my favorite. Not that it was bad, I just preferred a different dinner better. I'm not a drinker but I liked Skyline and Pink. Pink may have been my favorite especially since pink is my favorite color!

I am in love with the chandelier.

It seemed kinda odd for a group of ladies to walk into a kids dance party. We left pretty quickly. LOL.

We had some fun on that verandah! I had to get a verandah on the January cruise, since it's the bestie's first cruise. Maybe after this one I will be able to downgrade a little.

That soup was very good! I will have to get some next time!

I've been pretty busy lately. But hope to have more up soon.

Don't downgrade...verandah's are totally worth it!!!!!

I don't think an Oceanview with a porthole would be so bad either...will have to try that out someday!!!

Post more! I finally started mine from May! lol

Making our way through the Nassau Festival Center. This display really reminded me of Mardi Gras Indians. They make some very intricate head pieces also.

Senor Frogs! We didn't stop here, just passed by.

Hey look, we found another Main Street Ice Cream Parlor!

It was now time for the bus ride from hell! This bus ride was the worst I have ever been on. The driver seemed to go whatever speed he wanted, make turns wherever he wanted. It was crazy!

I snuck this picture of the local police car. I didn't know if it was okay or not!

We made it to Ardastra Garden and Zoo. It was only a ten minute or so ride from port. It only cost us $16 dollars each. The zoo was pretty small but it was kept very very clean. I would suggest this to anyone that is interested in zoos.

The main draw here is the Marching Flamingos! Pink flamingos are my favorite! My nanny had even bought me a special shirt just for today. You'll see it soon!

Now, for my favorite part of the day!

They allow a few people each show, one at a time, to come into the pen with the flamingos! I was in heaven! They do not come too close to you, but it is quite strange to have them walk right by you.

It was soooo much fun! If I am ever in Nassau again, I will try my best to get back to the gardens.

Next we went to feed the lorikeets!

They drink the juice out of the apple slices!

The man that worked at the gardens put an apple slice on my head and chest to draw the birds there for a picture!

It was now time to head on to our next stop. While we were waiting outside the gardens, a taxi was dropping off some other people. We asked him how much to bring us to the top of Fort Fincastle. I think it cost of $15-20 total. He offered us drinks while in the taxi. He also told us we could smoke in the taxi. You could definitely tell he had been at some point that day!

At this point we hit a traffic jam. So our driver told us "How many of your lady friends from the cruise can say they went to Nassau and broke a law?" Then he proceeded to go the wrong way on a one way street! When we got to the bottom he yelled to celebrate making it!

He took this picture for us before giving us his number and email address in case we were ever back in Nassau.

Fort Fincastle!

This was a beautiful Fort. We saw a group from the cruise on an excursion here. They had not even made it to the gardens yet. Which meant they were going to miss the marching flamingo show. At this point, I was very glad that we didn't book the excursion.

Such a wonderful view!

At this point it started to rain a little harder. It had been drizzling off and on for awhile today. We found some shelter near the market right outside the Fort. I bought a dress and a shawl from one of the stalls here. They were much nicer than the Straw market.

After the rain, we made our way to the Queen's Staircase.

We made sure to start at the top. I knew I could walk down all those steps. But there was no way I could make it up all of them!

This area was just so natural and beautiful. I took so many pictures. I just couldn't stop myself.

I think the one above, is my favorite of the Queen's Staircase!

On our way back to port, we walked a few blocks through a neighborhood area. There were some men at a restaurant that yelled at us as we passed by. One complaind because we were on vacation while they were at work. The other asked where the third angel was, as in Charlie's angels. I told him that we were so good, we only needed two!

We stopped in the Festival Center for the free Wifi! I was able to post a few pictures to facebook for my mom to see. I was also able to chat with her for a few on facebook. She was glad to know that I was okay and was having fun.

This is a picture of my grandparents. They both passed away the year before the cruise. They loved cruising. This picture is them disembarking in Nassau many many years ago. At least this way they "joined" me on the cruise for a little while.

There's that beautiful ship again! This was about the time I remembered to put my Seabands back on. They may be hideous, but they helped me from being sick the whole trip. I plan on wearing them again in January!

We grabbed some late lunch. I had to get some bbq chicken pizza!

Yay you're back trip reporting! Love the flamingos! The view from the Fort is phenomenal. And the photo of your first step in Nassau was hilarious! Your day was much better than mine. I did enjoy lunch with my friends, but did not like the straw market at all. I think we're doing the chocolate tour this next cruise.
