What do you do while waiting in long lines?

Well I'm a (very) amateur photographer. One of my favorite queue experiences was teaching my best friend the basics to SLR cameras

I always eavesdrop on other people's conversations. It's amazing the things you'll hear in line for a Disney ride. o_O

But usually, I'm the jerk you're giving the evil eye to in the FastPass line. I've been to Disney so many times, I generally don't wait in long lines anymore. Yeah I know, boo, hiss.

My older brother who is 15 normally pulls out a book and even if it's a 2 hour wait it doesn't phase him while I'M in line I will just talk to my parents and plan out our whole vacation :)

We chat it up with others around us. We've learned alot. A 30 min. conversation in 09 with some off duity castmembers about how they project the castle show and where the cool stuff is behind the scenes. A long ride from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom in 11 learning about the DVC from a great lady who knew all the pros and cons. 45 min. waiting in line for a character with a family new to the world in January sharing some of our tips and advice that they didn't know, like how fast passes work. Some times my wife and I play a game where we get two points for the first Brazillian tour group with a flag, or five points for the first adult in a princess costume. We see who can get the most points before we go into the ride.

I wonder if there is some sort of bingo-esque score card for Disney vacations...if there isn't, can we please make one? Brazilian tour group, adults in costume, plumbers crack, child throwing a tantrum, adult throwing a tantrum, someone eating a dole whip, etc.

I refuse to wait in a long line whether I'm solo or with someone. 30 min is the max for me. If I am alone I usually talk to people in line. But, if nobody wants to talk, plan B is to check out what folks are wearing or talking about. Those are usually very entertaining ways to pass the time.

Disney Trivial Pursuit questions! We take a bundle of cards from the game and play a mini game while in line. Someone had told me that a long time ago and it's a good way to pass the time.

I love talking with the people around me in line. For a lot of people I talk to, it is their first time at WDW and since I have been so many times, I try to help them out a little bit with planning and such.
