What do you do to pass the time....

I need desperate help, I only have about 4 days (dec 19) until I leave to WDW. I am just wondering how do you all pass the time 4 days or so before your trips? The days seem to take forever! All suggestions welcomed!

XOXO

I crawl up in a corner, start rocking back and forth, and mumble something about "t-minus 37 hours, 16 minutes, 53 seconds..."

Try to do/go to local places that have a Disney connection.

Por ejemplo,
I would like to go to the Rainforest Cafe in Burlington Mall (MA) sometime before we go to WDW because of the obvious Disney connection. It's like an appetizer, you know?

Or... heck, if you go by my logic, you could go to McDonald's and claim a Disney connection! lol

Besides restaurants, there are Disney stores. Those are nice appetizers. I once went kayaking in a local river and imagined that I was on the Rivers of America. Both banks did look very rustic; little houses hidden behind trees, dragonflies everywhere. I would not have been surprised to see Huck Finn sailing down the river on his little raft.

Of course, I'm not suggesting that you go out kayaking 4 days before your Disney outing. I'm merely suggesting that you should try to look for "Disney" in everyday life; find the Disney, celebrate it, treat it like you are actually already there.

To reiterate: Appetizer.

Not a bad idea, to tell the truth. I'm going there in about 2 hours anyways!
Maybe I'll stand up on my booth seat and yell, "I'm going to Disney World!"

LOL That seems like a good idea. Sorry about the very light font! Thanks for all the responses so far, I didn't expect to get so many...this sunday is almost here! I'm trying to pass the time by listening to "where the magic lives" the WDW Resort CD...and plan where I want to get on first. I heard it's going to be pretty cold on monday...and tuesday...I am going to Epcot monday and MK tuesday...woohoo Splash Mountain in 40 degree weather! AWESOME! I feel like such a Disney nerd when I know all the songs from the rides and people look at me like "What the heck?" LOL.

Pirate,

Looks like we were in WDW the same time (and do simliar things to get ready for our upcoming WDW trips!!)! ;)

And yeah... it was pretty cold a couple of those nights, huh? Went to MVMCP on Friday and again on Tuesday, and it was freezing that night! Never thought I'd see them selling gloves and wool hats at the carts in the MK!

Hope you had a great trip!

Nope, they were going to give it yesterday but it was cancelled. Gary Sinise was the narrator, it was an amazing show. It really lit up my holiday vacation. I did the Dinner Package, which was a very good idea on my part. It was already more than half full when all the people from the dinner package came in. We also did the Fantasmic dinner package at the brown derby. We met lots of nice cast members, especially one named Ben from Louisiana which is a skipper at the Jungle Cruise (WDW college program) he gave us a behind the scenes ride or the Jungle Cruise, only because it was just my family alone. If anyone knows Ben then please thank him for me! We rode stitch's great escape, which was....cute. Nothing can replace AE.

Cancelled because of bad weather? That's too bad - it's quite a show! And I agree about the Dinner Package being a GREAT idea (unless standing on neverending, slow-moving lines is your idea of a good time!)

I also read your comments about Stitch... I assume you were just being kind. I personally think it is one of (OK, THE) worst attraction ever at WDW.

Oh, and just to get back to the actual topic of this thread ;), I actually DID pass my time and got my Disney fix by writing my book! A year and a half of nights at the computer until 3:30 a.m. will do that for ya' :D

I usually get in the "Disney Mood" by either watching videos or going online about Disney/WDW. Another good thing is to double check with all of your reservations to make sure everything is okay. I like to start getting ready on what clothes I'm going to bring on my trip.
