What characters in the parks were you afraid of as a child?

You mean I'm suppose to have gotten over it by now?

Uh oh I don't like any of them... I seem to have a rather odd fear of people in costumes, especially if I can't see their faces...

My DH says he remembers being terrified of Captain Hook as a child. I went when I was 7 years old but, I don't remember being afraid of anything. My DD11 was terrified of Minnie Mouse when she was little, when she was almost 3 we went to Chef Mickeys for dinner and Minnie Mouse came up behind her and touched her hair, my DD freaked and tried to stab Minnie with a butter knife. Nice Kid! My DS6 was afraid of all of them as a toddler but, now can't wait to get their autographs and have pictures taken with them.

i was scared of all of them but suprisingly it was the villian from pochahunas:shrug::lookaroun that got me over my fear.

I guess mine is sort of a character. When I was about 6 I refused to ride Peter Pan because I was afraid of the crocodile! My parents promised me I could ride Small World if I went on Peter Pan so they could show me there was nothig to be afraid of.

I also went through a period of time when I REFUSED to go on Pirates of the Carribean. Does anyone remember the Sing-along videos with the blue bird and his class of little yellow birds? They would introduce different videos and songs. There was a ride-through music video of Pirates. At the end, you saw the vehicle go into this area with lots of barrels and they would EXPLODE! I was convinced that was what would happen if I went on that ride, but every time my family came out unharmed.

I scared of Prince John from Robin Hood, but that's only because it was my favorite movie and I knew he was a bad, bad man! :lol:

The thing that terrified me the MOST though, was this beautiful lady that hung from the ceiling and reached out for me in 3D with her claws of doom...

You feel old?! Disney World wasn't even around when I was a child. My first trip was in '75 and I was 13.

I'm wicked old.

Right now the only character that frightens me is a PMS friend of a princess who has worked 70 hours and is trying to plan her wedding or family gathering or is not pmsing, but pregnant.:lol:
