What Castle would Disney use for the third US resort

It annoys me that they re-used some names and even some designs I mean this is disney they could have been a lot more creative.

For a bird US park the frozen castle could be cool bc they could use the yard as gardens or something. I also think it would be a sweet idea to do a Snow White Castle 1 - bc it was the first disney princess and 2 - SB castle in Disneyland was originally going to be Snow White but it was changed to SB to promote the film
The Japanese didn't want much that was new and not found at Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom.

At Hong Kong Disneyland it was Disney being cheap.

DL's castle is called Sleeping Beauty's Castle, but looks like the one from the film "Snow White"

WDW's castle is called Cinderella's Castle, but looks like the castle from the film "Sleeping Beauty", which is actually Sleeping Beauty's father's castle, and before it was called Cinderella' Royal Table the name of the restaurant in the castle was called King Stefan's Banquet Hall

Here's King Stefan's Castel from the film "Sleeping Beauty" ...and King Stefan is Sleeping Beauty/Aurora's father

DL's castle looks nothing like Snow White's castle in the film. It looks like King Stefan's castle. The artists even designed the castle after the structure at Disneyland/Neuschwanstein. You can see the pillars are the same, especially the tallest one in that photo, as well as the bottom of the castle. Even the little bridge seen in the photo part of DL's castle.

And this is how the castle at Disneyland looked in 1955... that's before they repainted it to look more the version of Sleeping Beauty's castle in Paris

Disneyland opened was 1955, the reason the castle was named Sleeping Beauty Castle was to promote the film which was released 4 years later in 1959

Uuummmm... They don't look the same. How about we look at the castle by another screenshot?

What are you seeing that I'm not? They look different.

SBC was designed after Neuschwanstein in Germany. The designs were not based off of Snow White's castle in the film.

I'm aware the castle was used to promote Sleeping Beauty. Oh, and the castle was repainted for the 50th anniversary.

The early internal literature on Disneyland makes it clear that the focus was more on just having a castle, not tying it to a specific princess or film. This doesn't get discussed much because it is counter to the false narrative told today: that Disneyland was created to sell Disney's films.

The designs were not based off of Snow White's castle in the film.

The castle in Snow White was one of the references for castle in Disneyland, because at the time the built DL Snow White was the only film they had with a castle in it that looked realistic ...and I'm referring to the pictures I posted, not the one's you posted, because if you watch any of the hand drawn Disney films the designs of the castles vary drastically from scene to scene.

The point of this thread is "if they built 3rd US park which castle would they use?" my point is they just kind of make it up now, and then name them after either Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella, because...

You don't see Snow White's Castle in the film Snow White, but there is the Evil Queen's Castle

You don't see Cinderella's Castle in the film Cinderella, but there is the Prince's Father's Castle

You don't see Sleeping Beauty's Castle in the film Sleeping Beauty, but there is King Stefan's Castle

The SBC that's in Disneyland was built a few years before the film was made/released. The SBC in Paris is one they just kind of made up, and version of castle that's in Orlando and Tokyo, which is called Cinderella's Castle is actually based on the castle in Sleeping Beauty, which is King Stefan's Castle, and the original restaurant in WDW's castle was called King Stefan's Banquet Hall... and why did they do it this way? because the only castle you see in Cinderella is the Mary Blair designed castle which is not so realistic looking

As I said earlier, after Disneyland was built, the artists for Sleeping Beauty made sure to have the castle resemble SBC/Neuschwanstein.

I never said CC doesn't look like the castle in Sleeping Beauty. I was commenting on your statement that SBC and the castle in Snow White look alike, to which I was disagreeing. Plans on referencing to Snow White in Disneyland's early stages? Yes, we agree on that.

Interesting trivia about Ludwig II of Bavaria, the man behind Neuschwanstein, the castle that helped inspired Cinderella's

Ludwig II of Bavaria, was trying to build another castle, Castle Falkenstein but it never came to Fruition. Part of the problem was that Ludwig bankrupted Bavaria building many pointless castles like Neuschwanstein (which technically was never finished) but the other problem was that everyone King Ludwig II hired and approached to build the Castle Falkenstein failed to design a castle as spectacular and grandiose as he was envisioning.

Here is one rejection (possibly the one that survives) that was presented to him. Ludwig called this Castle "too modest"
