I learned something here today...
I thought The Living Seas was Epcot's largest pavilion.

loloh cool, i couldn't find those.
Mine are prettier. :animwink:
This has really confused me. Why if they are trying to make up for lost capacity at Diamond Horseshoe, TL Terrace, AL Veranda, etc, don't they just reconfigure/re-open those facilities?
This fits pretty good!. Sorry, I just had to.
It certainly makes you wonder, doesn't it? If you are having a problem with dining capacity, and you have so many closed dining locations, why not open them up?! But the ultimate reason is that having fewer kitchens, with fewer staff, in fewer large venues (Pecos Bills, Cosmic Rays, etc) is more profitable. I guess its too bad for the guests who wait in massive lines and can't find tables. And ultimately, its up to park ops what they want to keep open (not Imagineering, who is designing the new restaurant).
Yet somehow, Disneyland has many dining locations, small and large, and has no problem staffing them.
 I thought the same thing when I saw Marni's pics. I know we're getting additional attractions, but I wouldn't mind having 20K again, either.

UGH! Don't get me started on this again. At least we're getting a new state of the art ride, as opposed to the paved playground that replaced my favorite childhood ride. Seriously though...how do you rip out this:
With a bulldozer.
With a bulldozer.
Too soon?
Um...yeah...apparently 17 years is not enough time to heal. At least for me.
I watched Martin's Ultimate Tribute last night; they sure don't make them like that anymore.I feel your pain.... Horizons!
Yeah, Horizons and 20,000 Leagues were really impressive rides that can never truly be replaced (unless they are actually re-built, but lets not kid ourselves). I hope we are saying the same thing about Mermaid and the Dwarfs Coaster in 2 years that we would have been saying about Horizons back in 1983 or 20K back in 1971... The scale, the theming, the overall story immersion of Horizons and 20,000 Leagues was amazing, for kids and adults.
I hope TDO figures that out someday. The "thrills" we all felt weren't caused by the 2.2 G's in a spinning centrifuge, or a swinging mine train cart...they were thrilling and entertaining in a way that Disney had a real knack for, and that reached us all.
I do have high hope for the future of FLE. I am excited to see it.
