On our first day we arrive in the afternoon and schedule dinner at a MK hotel so we can just ride the monorial and watch the fireworks at the same time!oh ohoh and going on the monorail!

WDW Traditions
We always go to Epcot first and last, it's our favorite. We always eat breakfast once at Chef Mickey's, and dinner at as many World Showcase restaurants as we can. Mickey Bars are almost a daily treat. Can't miss rides are POTC, Test Track, Haunted Mansion, and others. An evening stroll around World Showcase is a must, as is a monorail ride. Next trip, May 20, staying at Port Orleans French Quarter.:kiss:

Our MUST do is to go on SSE as soon as we enter EPCOT and it's the LAST Ride we go on when we leave. That tradition got broken last trip unfortunately, as my wife had to be wheeled out of the park in a wheelchair, and spent the next 2 days in ICU in hospital, but we'll keep doing SSE our next trips.

Stay at All-Star Sports in Building #10 / facing the football field
Head to Ak after check in
First Ride is always KS @AK
Go to MK on our first night, always get there at sunset
Take a photo every trip of me with DD and DS at the gas station @ DHS
Take a photo of DH and DS on the dock at the end of Maelstrom in Norway Pavillion

Get a Dole Whip Float
Eat Hot Dogs on the sidewalk while waiting for the afternoon parade
Eat Egg Roles and French Fries while watching Fireworks in MK sitting on a bench next to the RR next to Pecos Bills
Have a nice quiet lunch or dinner Upstairs at Colonial Harbor House

For the last 20 something years, we have always checked into our resort and then had a Chicken Strips dinner, then went to EPCOT Center.
Now I'm hearing the chicken strips are no longer available and have been replaced by Chicken nuggets of the same quality.
I'll find out in 74 days.

We go to the Magic Kingdom the day we arrive and the day we leave. We always eat dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern on our last day. That's all I would consider tradition. Other things we always seem to do are not traditions; they are more like game plans. For example, being smooshed by the masses en route to Soarin' first thing in the Epcot morning is not a tradition but more a matter of necessity as I really dislike 2+ hour waits.

On the family trip, we put together a list of "Must Do's" prior to the trip. We have 6 people in the family so there could be up to 60 "Must Do's", but most of the popular items appear on everyone's list. We carry the lists with us each day and cross off as many as possible during our vacation.
Sample Must Do items:
Give away fast passes to a total stranger
Monorail ride
Numerous boat/ferry rides
Play miniature golf (Winter Summerland or Fantasia)
Eat a Dole Whip (in MK or at Capt. Cook's)
Triple Mtn. Whammy
Squished pennies
All the regular stuff...... The point? Our family WDW Vacation Tradition is the "Must Do" list. The items on the list change from year to year, but if my kids didn't have a list in their pockets and try to cross off all the items over the course of a few days, they'd go crazy.
When it's just me and the DW, our only tradition is to do everything spontaneously and not have a list.

We always eat lunch at least once at Cosmic Rays. My wife was taking the kids pictures in front of the wishing well by the castle, but that area was closed last October, so she took the kids photos with the well way in the back ground.

And we take our WDW planning DVD's with us and watch them in the car on the way down.
Also at Disney...
We have made up our own Disney "Symbol" called the "Mouse On"...
When we ride a ride (esp. one with photo) we put up our hands kinda like doing the rock-n-roll hand symbol, but we bend down our pointer finger and little finger to make our hands look like a Mickey head, and say "Mouse On!"
And everytime someone in our party has to take a bathroom break we announce it by stating that we need to go "Piglet" or "Pooh"

Ah! I know I have a few, probably some that I don't even notice, buuut:
I ride Pirates of the Carribean as soon as I walk through the MK gate, and Everest at AK. Not to mention I HAVE to eat a funnel cake real late at night, prior to leaving MK.
Those are the main ones. So many I'm forgetting though.

We must do Chef Mickey's for dinner on Good Friday. Easter breakfast is always Crystal Palace. I absolutely have to have at least 2 Dole Whip Floats (hopefully more this time!)

We always throw our stuff down the minute we get to the hotel and get on a bus to the MK. First we get a Casey's hot dog w/ cheese fries then head to POTC! :wave:

When we go to Disney, we always end up flying in around lunchtime and settling in our room first. Then late afternoon head over Disney Village Marketplace for shopping and dinner. We start the next morning at the MK with breakfast at Cinderella's Castle and start our rides directly after. Also, during our trip breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at Ohana's, and Chef Mickeys is a must. Oh, and one night we must have dinner at the Biergarten--Zicke Zacke Zicke Zacke Hoy Hoy Hoy!

When we get in we always explore the resort and have some lunch. After lunch we head over to MK. We stroll down mainstreet slowly while takeing in all the sights, sounds, and smells of the kingdom. The teacups is our first stop and our last stop of any trip.
We eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
We get a frozen Lemonade during the AK parade.

We always say to each other, "It was all started by a mouse" while we are walking under the tunnels at the Magic Kingdom.
The first ride we go on is Pirates of the Caribbean.
I have my picture taken by Walt's statue at Disney Hollywood Studios.
I try to get a funny/scared reaction photo of my mom on Splash. (I already have a good one and want to add to my collection)

We talk about how bad our feet hurt on the way back to our resort hotel.

1. When we drive onto property we take whatever we are drinking and cheers the Welcome to Disney sign.
2. We always get a Mickey Ice Cream Bar or two.
3. Take at least a couple hours to do lots of shopping at the Marketplace.
4. Buy one pin to summarize our trip (either a hotel or a ride or a character that has meaning from that trip). I started collecting pins from everywhere when I was little so it's fun to see them all displayed and think about all the different trips.
5. I always try to find a new pooh bear stuffed animal to buy each trip. Which is actually harder then you'd think.
6. Monorail rides just to hear the recorded spiel.
7. Riding our bikes on the Fort Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge trails
8. Taking a picture in front of the castle. You can never have enough pictures with the castle as the backdrop!

We only get over every 3 years and can never decide which park to do first so our 1st day tradition is to go to the park of the 1st bus that turns up at our resort.
