What accessories do you run with?

Glad to see people ordering this product. Im not a "Must wear helmet walking down the street" type guy but if there is a product that could potentially save my life and get me back to my family, Im going to get it.

Forgot to tell you guys. My Road ID came in the mail, and I have been running with it on my shoe for about a week. I don't notice it at all. And as I was feeling woozy on my long run from the unexpected heat and humidity this past weekend, the thought occurred to me that if I passed out, I could do so safely because someone would be able to find my family. LOL

So after all the talk about them in this thread, I ordered my Road ID today. I never knew my blood type, so I had myself tested so that I could include it on the tag. Hopefully someone will never need to use it and I wasted my money, but then again someday it may be the best money I ever spent.

What kind of Road ID bracelet do you all have? I'm looking at ordering the Wrist ID slim but was wondering if anyone has this one and is it waterproof? Do I need a replacement band?

They remind me of the Livestrong bracelets.

I have the Elite version: https://www.roadid.com/p/the-Wrist-ID-Elite
I splurged on this one because I thought some of the other kinds looked like they'd irritate my skin.

Of the top of my head I know it has my name, birth year, the city I live in, contact information for my husband and mom, that I have no allergies or medical history and am an organ donor, and my blood type.

Did you include your full name?, I'm worried in case someone had to much information on me-to many movies I guess..

At the urging of many on this board, I got RoadID recently. I chose the one that attaches to my shoes and, yes, I have my full name on it. I wouldn't want my child walking around with her name showing on her clothes in case some stranger wanted to act like he knew her by name, but for me, I think it's safer to include the full name. Whether I'm unconscious, or whether I'm kidnapped, God forbid, having someone know my name and contact information is in my best interests.

Thanks for the info. Let's hope we all never need to use any of these devices .

We have RoadIDs for our kids to wear when we go to congested/busy places like WDW. They do contain their first and last name as well as cell numbers for DH and I. We have taught them all the info, but we figured if they ever got lost or hurt it might be easier on first responders to have it printed out. DD has a dog tag style necklace and DS has the bracelet with an extra band so he can swap out colors if he wants. I do need to get DS's remade as he was diagnosed with allergies and allergy induced asthma after we got the RoadIDs.

Cool idea. When our kids were younger, I gave them lanyard type necklaces with a little pouch to put some fun money and a paper on which I'd written our contact information.

I have a GoSport ID that has my name and my favorite inspirational saying on it. I wear it around a lot, but it never occurred to me to actually wear it when I am doing....sports! LOL! It looks like the Road ID Slim will fit on the same band. I'll have to try running with it to see if it irritates my wrist.

I have it on my wrist now! The Road ID Sports model size small. It is a great motivator to run because if it's on my wrist I can't drag butt and not do what I am supposed to be doing. My husband (hardworking man that he is) is a Firefighter and a Deputy so I was able to get mine 1/2 price.

New RoadID arrived today with bling. Just like the LiveStrong bands. Mine is actually bright orange but the Corel auto-adjust made it look yellow. I'll be wearing this all the time.

I have to do the same. I am in the same boat as you - the unnecessary risk catgegory. My wife can't stand it. I really should get a RoadID

Currently I run with my Garmin 305. That's it.

If I plan to be out for a while I take a couple of bucks cash as well. I'll adjust my route to run by a gas station, 7-11, WaWa, or QuickCheck or the park to buy water.

If I am in the 10+ mile range, A couple of honey stingers get jammed in the pocket of my shorts.

I rarely know the exact route I am going to take when I leave my house. I have a milage in mind, and I know the distance of the major loops, so I run around and check my watch every so often until I know if I turn around and take the direct route back, I will hit my milage (Sometimes I have to run past my house for a quarter mile and loop back to get the milage I wanted - I hate that). I have been known to loop around a large parking lot to make up a couple of tenths if I have to. Those runs are fun to look at on the Garmin track.

I really need to start running more trails. Since there are no 7-11's on the mountain (yet) I clearly have to start supplying my own hydration. I have yet to find something that I like. Everything is too "sloshy"
