Yes, that's the one I'm talking about. The "are" looks similar in shape and size as other parking structures and too small to be a parking lot (for the size of the studios). So, I've drawn the conclusion that thath will be a garage.

I am not sure what you are talking about, nothing on the document shows anything that looks like a garage, at least not to me.

The document I'm talking about shows a narrow section on the eastern edge of the current parking lot marked for development where the on-ramp leads to.

I assume you are talking about this. The strip of land at the end of the new entrance road will probably be were the new toll booths are, it is to narrow to be a garage.

Here, it is. The yellow slab east of the current parking lot is what I am takin about. That is the size and shape of what a parking structure could be.

@WDW1974 mentioned some plans a while back about putting more DVC in the Epcot parking lots. Maybe that is what the green area will be used for? There is plenty of room to fit a beach club/boardwalk sized resort without interfering with the solar farm.

Logically, if an on-ramp leads to a garage, where else would the garage go?

But there is no proof it will lead to a garage. I think that area is more likely to be used for the new toll plaza which would logically be at the end of an entrance road. If they are going to build a garage it will most likely go over one of the existing lots since you would want it close to the park entrance. The yellow area to the south has been designated for parking so that might become a surface lot to provide parking while they build the garage.

The solar farm would permit the guests to have a better tan. Great selling point!

If a hotel is built into that area, I'm assuming it would have a walkway to the (front) entrance of Epcot. If that's the case, the logical theme for such a hotel would be some sort of "future" or science based concept. Overlooking solar panels from one side would potentially fit that vibe.

That new area by DHS would provide a lot of parking.
Would that be cheaper than garages?

I'm kind of wondering that too. That seems like a lot more additional space around DHS which would almost certainly be for parking if used. Could it be that they are planning to just go with a greater amount of surface lots as opposed to the rumored two parking decks? Would assume surface lots would be much cheaper/easier to build (and maintain).

At this point, is it possible that they expand the parking lot instead of build a garage?
It'd probably be the most fiscally prudent move. I'm not really sure why there is such love for the idea of a structure. They cost a fortune that in these type of package projects could be allocated elsewhere.

And we know that TWDC is trying to save every penny they can right now, too. I'd bet on an expanded surface lot over Garage.

I've been searching for but cannot find the map which shows all the planned RDIC road improvements. I'm trying to make sense of all the construction along LBV Blvd.

Can anyone link it or upload it?

Based on the most recent land use request posted by @danlb_2000, it would appear that the plans filed earlier might have changed or grown in scale. Or, are we just seeing more of the details start to emerge?

It doesn't necessarily mean that plans have changed. These are long term changes. It makes sense to free up this land since it's the only practical place to grow DHS, but that doesn't mean that currently have any plans to do so.
