Day trip to Disneyland Park with my son, Liam... Flying to LA for soccer game on the 26th, Arsenal(my team) v Barcelona.

Single seats or double seats?
Fixed blasters or movable blasters?
Corn dogs or footlong hot dogs?

So I grabbed a ILL for Rise and we headed towards Haunted Mansion. It seemed that it just opened after being down so there was no wait.

Liam really was excited for this one and noticed the differences in the building and the foyer right away. But…he didn’t notice the biggest one until I nudged him in the “stretching room”.

“This is an elevator”…He screamed out and gave a huge giddy laugh. Yes. Yes it is.

Then along the ride track I introduced him to my favorite part, the Hatbox Ghost… oils Can’t wait to see him at WDW soon.

Nostalgia and elevator. 1 point for the left...

Could I just ask if that is one of those towels that you wet to keep cool that Liam is wearing. If it is did he get it at Disney as it has MM logo. I hope I can get one at WDW.

OK....I will pick up where I left off shortly....

Recently, I was in Hell...err, I mean, Texas for a training week for my job and towards the end, it was soooo boring that of course I jumped on United's website to see some stuff. I checked a few dates, saw some cheap fares and texted the wife right away...

With all of the credits I got back from the flights on this LA/DL trip, the cost was so low, I couldn't pass it up!

So I booked it!!!

Oct 23rd-27th, Staying at Bay Lake Tower!!! I have stayed here before with Liam but this time it's with the whole fam!

This will be easy to navigate with our current plans of going to the Halloween party and maybe one other park, TBD...

Chef Mickey's is on the plans too and maybe Cali Grill or Steakhouse 71....Perfect location!

Last time there was around the same time last year, so this will be a fun trip!!

Pirates was next up and I was excited for this one...

This is my favorite ride at DL and I wanted to show the differences to Liam, because he really likes the WDW version.

The first difference, was the restaurant in the "middle of the ride", as Liam put it...

But I was waiting for the other differences, that he didn't know about...

Or 2 drops!!! One got us so wet, but it didn't phase me as I was over heated from being outside and I did not care!!!!

He loved them too....

There were a lot of scenes that he recognized and a bunch he didn't... This is what makes me like it more than the WDW version.

When we were going up the boat "escalator", Liam asked if this was the big drop like Splash... "Ugh, yeah...get ready....."

I kid, I kid...

1 point for the West!!!
