She's right... That printer is going 24/7 making dungeons and dragons figures.... I'll see if I can sneak anymore print time before we leave.

Clearly WDW should trump D&D :hilarious::hilarious:

Look at all of us that are going to be there!

Today I'm trying to decide whether to take just the two suitcases or 3. I was thinking about the 3rd one being my carryon size one.. and just putting what we need for our stay at ASMovies in that one, that way I don't have to try to repack the others ones when we move. Southwest allows 2 bags per person, so it's not a money issue. It's a ... do I really want to deal with all these bags issue?

I vote for the two suitcases and the carry on for your AS Movies stay, sounds like it might be less stress for that short stay. Then you can just check all three if you want on the way home.

So you are voting 3? I was going to also check that little one... because we will both have backpacks to contend with in the airport as well... me with all the meds, snacks etc... and him with his puzzle books, kindle, and pens...

Not to mention his cane, and wheelchair assistance.

Decisions, decisions.

Yeah three, but now I'm thinking that you said you were picking your bags up at the airport right? If so maybe then two. Now I'm torn with your decisions!😉

It's hard right? I guess I could just pack the backpack inside the 3rd suitcase.. and carry it on.. (need my tiki backpack for Disney) and stuff my headphones for the flight in my pocket. That's one thing I will miss about having this hardside luggage now... no outside pockets.

Maybe what I'll do is try to stick with two and just put the couple of outfits we need, PJs and swimsuits in the suitcase that has all the "extras" in it... like shoes, poncho's, drink bottles, ears... etc in it. Then I only have to deal with opening that bag, and I can leave the other bag closed. Yeah... that might be the ticket.

Future Rista agrees ...

Taking my daughter on trips by myself taught me that valuable lesson. YBag for me, bag for her, carry on for me, carry on with her activities, stroller, purse, car seat......don't do it. A stroller at least has some storage for the purse and maybe a carry on. The less baggage you have to juggle, the better.

For our upcoming trip, I'm not letting her take her Nemo suitcase this time. We're packing one checked bag. Between the two of us. Then I'll have my backpack and she'll have a small backpack too with some activities and snacks. That's it. If it cannot fit in that, it's not coming. Last time I had such a hard time just getting from my car to the terminal.

Since we are going 11 days, we will definitely need 2 bags... being fluffy people, and having picked out a different tshirt for every day for each of us.. (I know ridiculous!) means will be packing clothes in the biggest suitcase, and everything else in the medium suitcase.

Oh I don't begrudge you packing the house if you want to! I'm just saying future you is going to be really mad if you pack too much, lol. When I travel I normally have a capsule wardrobe for travel, but when I go to Disney I take a new top for every day as well.

One thing that changed the game for me was packing cubes. I got the ones from ebags but there are a ton on amazon as well. You roll your clothes up, and then zipper the cube up half way, then cram the rolled clothes in on their side so the spiral faces the top of the cube. You can use the cube as a compression sack and pack SO many more clothes in the same amount of space. Plus if you take a spare cube or two, you can use them for dirty clothing as your trip progresses. I have three colors, one for me, one for A and one for dirty. You want the ones with a mesh window though, because your clothes need to breathe.

ETA: I roll my clothes and her clothes in outfits, not as single pieces. So in the morning I can just grab one roll and have everything I need for the Disney day.

Yes... I have the ebags ones... but it's a toss up for pooh size clothing whether it actually saves room. You know what it does do? Wrinkles everything like crazy. Rolling things makes pooh size clothing so much bigger. For dirty clothes I take one of those dollar store pop up hampers and throw it in the corner of the room... we just keep throwing clothes in there and then on the way home I fold them haphazardly and stuff them back in the suitcase. This time though, on our off day, I think I'm going to plan on doing laundry... already bought some detergent pods and a small pack of dryer sheets.

I generally take wrinkle resistant clothes to Disney, but my travel capsule has some wrinkle prone items in it. I carry a small bottle of wrinkle release with me. I may pick up one of those hampers! That's a great idea!

I like it because like you said, then you aren't mixing the dirty clothes with the clean clothes.

I like the idea of having the third suitcase, and putting a backpack in it to start with. That way you’ll have plenty of room for souvenirs etc and I think it’ll make the ASM stay easier.

Is there a way you can hook the smaller one on one of the bigger suitcases?

No because they are the hard side swivel, but I’ll have plenty of room for souvenirs because I have a just in case foldable dufflush type bag that I pack. Just in case! Plus my suitcases expand 2 inches with a zipper if necessary. I would love to take the third piece but it would be a pain.
