Is today the day we see our first palm tree?

Nope. Thanks to the words “Traffic ahead is delayed One Hour and Twen-ty-five minutes. You are still on the fastest route”, we didn’t make it far enough south. Tomorrow for sure.

There is a brand new Buc-ee’s 30 miles from here, so that will be our coffee and gas up spot before we start driving in earnest tomorrow.

It’s approximately 7 hours (driving time, so maybe 9 hours RV travel time) before we hit our final layover tomorrow night before arriving in the Keys on Thursday.

Today was a bit of a stressful day. The weather was ick; the traffic was disgusting; our electronics did NOT want to co-operate, so there may have been a little back and forth sniping; but certainly no yelling or mean comments. Canadians get passive aggressive/snarky, but not generally nasty. We leave that to our hockey players.

We should try to be out of here by 8:00, but who knows? If it gets hot as heck with no A/C - earlier. If we’re zonked right out - maybe later. We do not want to hit the KOA after dark though. That’s no fun.

Good night Peeps.

I hope today works out better for you two. Road trips can sometimes be stressful, as you can't control the traffic, weather, etc. But once you reach your destination, you'll feel better. (Meanwhile, I'm sure Daisy is having a blast, and is oblivious to any vehicle, etc., issues!) 🐶 :)

Also, fingers crossed that you get the problem resolved, so that you can get the A/C back on safely.

Thank you. We’ll be hooked up to hydro for the rest of our trip. Boondocking means no hydro, water, or sewer - just whatever juice you have in your battery.

We can run the water pump (to flush the toilet, and brush your teeth), a couple of lights; and while six outlets are connected to the battery, you certainly can’t run them all at the same time.

In order to ensure we had enough juice for our bedside fans, I washed my face and brushed my teeth by flashlight. Priorities.
